Greater than one weekI bought this printer based on the reviews given below. I was trying to find a printer that was good quality and used lower cost ink cartridges. So it has been pretty good. I have used it since july of 2005 and it has performed well. Ink cartridges are much cheaper than my former HP photosmart printer p1000 i think thats what it was called. The only thing is i wished this printer had a paper exit tray. But anyway it has been very dependable and i like it. I would buy another one. gg

> 3 dayIf you hate spending $35 or more on printer cartridges like I did, get this unit. I can get cartridges for about $2-$5 a pop and the print quality is great. I dont print pictures on it, but I did when I get it. Picture quality is ok(from what I can remember), but for doc printing its great!

> 3 dayThis printer worked wonderfully for the first 4 months, but then got the imaginary paper jam problem that I have seen on other reviews. When speaking with technical support, they basically said tough luck and we had to buy another printer. The cartridges are cheap and last a fairly long time -- it even had a Staples brand one that was compatible, only $7 for black & $12 for color.

> 3 dayThe ink is dirt cheap. I was surprised at how many pages it can print before the ink tanks need replacement. My kids just print and print. Compact size for small desk. The photo print quality is great as well. I have used it over my epson just for the fact the epson ink is over $30 per tank. Mind you it has no paper tray, it is noisy and slow. Buy without hesitation.

> 3 dayEasy to set up and install. Nice picture and print. Great printer for the price. Only thing lacking is a paper tray.

> 3 dayYep, I had the same problem with the error message that there was a paper jam. There was NO paper jam. It stopped feeding paper so we just bought another one. Cant for the life of me figure out what the problem is. Not worth trying to get repaired since it will probably cost $50 just for someone to look at it!

> 3 dayThe printer was actually free after rebate with a desktop PC from Frys. I gave it 4 stars because while its great for the average Joe to print photos from the Canon Easy-Photoprint application, Im having a lot of issues getting it to print from any other application, i.e. Adobe Photoshop 7. Granted, Ive only used the drivers from the included cd, and havent spent a huge amount of time troubleshooting, but it ought to work out of the box. I also have a hard time with getting it to grab the paper after I load it. This may be an isolated problem, as Ive seen no other reviewer mention it. Regardless, its been quite handy to print last minute pictures for scrapbooking (when printing in bulk I use Snapfish). The pictures have been bright, clear, and scrapbook quality. For free, I really cant complain.

> 3 dayThe only reason I didnt give this 5 stars was because of the noise. Granted, its not loud enough to wake anybody up, but the start up and finish prep time of printing a document is a clunky noise. But besides that, the noise is worth it for such a great printer. For under $50 including the ink, it is a very good new product. I have just received it and printed not only some documents but pictures, and boy is it fast, neat, and all around a great print job. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayI still have this printer 6 years later. I refill my ink tank and only use black. After 5 years, I had to disassemble and clean the ink absorber pads inside the printer and reset the internal counter with a program to allow it to print so long. For most, it wasnt worth doing this for a cheap printer but I like a challenge (had to take it pretty far apart) and like this small simple printer.
