> 3 dayYep, I had the same problem with the error message that there was a paper jam. There was NO paper jam. It stopped feeding paper so we just bought another one. Cant for the life of me figure out what the problem is. Not worth trying to get repaired since it will probably cost $50 just for someone to look at it!

> 3 dayAs a professional graphic artist with over 20 years in the industry, I have seen lots of products/suppliers come and go. Like Quark before it Epson decided to abandon its core user base of professional graphic arts customers for the promise of a windfall of profit by catering only to Win-Tel users. They now are a commodity player with an expensive, balky, cumbersome line of equipment. In steps Canon, god love em. Great Cameras, great printers, Mac support for days... Now this printer is my home unit and I could not be more pleased with its performance. Two main features attracted me: 1. The ink it uses is BC-24, available, been around for YEARS, and cheap! (about $17 for color and $8 for the color cart). 2. border-less printing on generic 4x6 glossy snaps from Office Depot (100 pieces for $12) that look great. This printer is fast, quiet, and works flawlessly with iPhoto as well as any of the typical Pro apps a Graphic Designer might use.

> 3 dayI still have this printer 6 years later. I refill my ink tank and only use black. After 5 years, I had to disassemble and clean the ink absorber pads inside the printer and reset the internal counter with a program to allow it to print so long. For most, it wasnt worth doing this for a cheap printer but I like a challenge (had to take it pretty far apart) and like this small simple printer.

> 3 dayIt seems Ive had this for years. I buy the generic brand of ink from 123inkjets dot com and have had great success. Just for printing, as Ive never tried professional photos.

> 3 dayIf you hate spending $35 or more on printer cartridges like I did, get this unit. I can get cartridges for about $2-$5 a pop and the print quality is great. I dont print pictures on it, but I did when I get it. Picture quality is ok(from what I can remember), but for doc printing its great!

> 3 dayIt arrived with black ink all over it and after replacing the cartrdiges it would not install but kept saying a cartridge was not installed correctly and when I would check all was as should be. I am donating to a charity for someone else to try to get to work.

> 3 dayExactly what I was looking for because I have a stackup on ink. I was happy to find this product, when i was striking out at the stores. I did not know it was an obsolete product. Thanks

06-06-2025Dont believe any bad reviews that youve seen for this printer. People who are critiquing this printer probably had a defective unit. Ive used several of these units for YEARS and they are great for both text and photos. I am very familiar with this unit, and if you dont need a paper tray, it is a great printer!
