The ink is dirt cheap. I was surprised at how many pages it can print before the ink tanks need replacement. My kids just print and print. Compact size for small desk. The photo print quality is great as well. I have used it over my epson just for the fact the epson ink is over $30 per tank. Mind you it has no paper tray, it is noisy and slow. Buy without hesitation.

Overall - Great quality, average speed prints, crappy software compatibility. You get a good deal for the price. The Easy Web Print Software that comes with the printer freezes Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Maybe just my computer sucks. The printing quality is great, the printer never jams, kinda slow but that may be due to my long usb2.0 cable.

Good printer. Good price for ink and last long. All in all another good canon printer

Great printer with the ability to buy cheap ink for it. Prints pictures beautifully. Im an artist and even make great prints on canvas on it.

Nice printer, works fairly quicker than my previous Canon. Only downside, as other have pointed out, is the lack of catch tray. My old ink worked just fine for this one also, didnt even need to buy a differnt type.

The printer was actually free after rebate with a desktop PC from Frys. I gave it 4 stars because while its great for the average Joe to print photos from the Canon Easy-Photoprint application, Im having a lot of issues getting it to print from any other application, i.e. Adobe Photoshop 7. Granted, Ive only used the drivers from the included cd, and havent spent a huge amount of time troubleshooting, but it ought to work out of the box. I also have a hard time with getting it to grab the paper after I load it. This may be an isolated problem, as Ive seen no other reviewer mention it. Regardless, its been quite handy to print last minute pictures for scrapbooking (when printing in bulk I use Snapfish). The pictures have been bright, clear, and scrapbook quality. For free, I really cant complain.

Have never used it. Tried to go through set up but it is designed for software that is no longer in common use. Will give it to a community thrift shop. Someone with older equipment may be able to use it.
