> 3 dayThe only reason I didnt give this 5 stars was because of the noise. Granted, its not loud enough to wake anybody up, but the start up and finish prep time of printing a document is a clunky noise. But besides that, the noise is worth it for such a great printer. For under $50 including the ink, it is a very good new product. I have just received it and printed not only some documents but pictures, and boy is it fast, neat, and all around a great print job. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayEasy to set up and install. Nice picture and print. Great printer for the price. Only thing lacking is a paper tray.

> 3 dayIt seems Ive had this for years. I buy the generic brand of ink from 123inkjets dot com and have had great success. Just for printing, as Ive never tried professional photos.

Greater than one weekThe most simple printer I ever purchased. So bare bones it didnt even have an output tray. Printed the most perfect color Ive seen to date. Too bad it didnt come in a wide carriage model.

> 3 dayI dont have any special needs, and for what I use it: letters, ocasional photos the machine is great. Ink is very affordable witch is a biiig plus in my books. Set up is a breeze for Windows, for Mac U must download the drivers, but than is smooth sailing.

> 3 dayIT WORKED GOOD FOR AWHILE AND THEN IT STOPPED PRINTING. IT WOULD GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS BUT WITH NOTHING ON THE PAGE, i TOOK THE PRINT HEAD OUT AND CLEANED IT THOROUGHLY WITH ALCOHOL. IT WAS PRETTY DIRTY. I PUT IT AND THE CARTRIDGES BACK IN AND NOW I GET A PRINT ERROR THAT THE PRINT HEAD IS INAPPROPRIATE FOR USE. HELL FIRE, I JUST PULLED IT OUT OF THE PRINTER. I SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, THANK YOU ROBERT D. SMITH

10-06-2025The printer was actually free after rebate with a desktop PC from Frys. I gave it 4 stars because while its great for the average Joe to print photos from the Canon Easy-Photoprint application, Im having a lot of issues getting it to print from any other application, i.e. Adobe Photoshop 7. Granted, Ive only used the drivers from the included cd, and havent spent a huge amount of time troubleshooting, but it ought to work out of the box. I also have a hard time with getting it to grab the paper after I load it. This may be an isolated problem, as Ive seen no other reviewer mention it. Regardless, its been quite handy to print last minute pictures for scrapbooking (when printing in bulk I use Snapfish). The pictures have been bright, clear, and scrapbook quality. For free, I really cant complain.

> 3 dayI am using this lovely printer for about two months. It has given everything you would expect from a printer despite its affordable price so far. Color printing is almost lab quality. Quite fast, easy to handle and maintain. Rest assured, relatively cheaper cartridges wont be pain in the back unlike other expensive printers. Dont let them cheat you with the change only empty cartridge for each color lie. They always all become empty at the same time. As a result, you wont be sorry with this very cute and highly operable printer at all.

> 3 dayI replaced my Epson RX500 ($245.00) due to $$$ ink replacement and other issues, and I love this little printer! After almost five months of steady printing Im replacing the black ink tank for the first time (about $7). Its a little rough on the paper feed but cranks documents out quickly. Photo quality is average for the price of this unit. However, compared to the enormous costs of the Epson ink tanks, this Canon has already paid for itself. Ive printed out resumes, pictures, spreadsheets, and loads of emails on this machine. Well worth the price!
