I bought this printer for my boyfriend for christmas, thinking it would be a good first photo printer to start out with. This printer is so awsome. The print quality is way better than I thought it was going to be. At times it can be loud when it gets ready to print but once you get past that it is very nice. I would highly recommend it.

I am using this lovely printer for about two months. It has given everything you would expect from a printer despite its affordable price so far. Color printing is almost lab quality. Quite fast, easy to handle and maintain. Rest assured, relatively cheaper cartridges wont be pain in the back unlike other expensive printers. Dont let them cheat you with the change only empty cartridge for each color lie. They always all become empty at the same time. As a result, you wont be sorry with this very cute and highly operable printer at all.

I dont have any special needs, and for what I use it: letters, ocasional photos the machine is great. Ink is very affordable witch is a biiig plus in my books. Set up is a breeze for Windows, for Mac U must download the drivers, but than is smooth sailing.

Very disappointed, literally lasted like 4 months and broke down. Just didnt want to turn on! Dont waist your money, invest in something better.

The ink is dirt cheap. I was surprised at how many pages it can print before the ink tanks need replacement. My kids just print and print. Compact size for small desk. The photo print quality is great as well. I have used it over my epson just for the fact the epson ink is over $30 per tank. Mind you it has no paper tray, it is noisy and slow. Buy without hesitation.

This Pixma 1500 is the worst piece of junk there is. The error messages come one after the other for paper jams that are not there, carriages that will not move, ink waste containers that are not full, etc. The printer wont print color and black and white at the same time. Back to the drawing board!

I am a graduate student. Even though, universities gave me printing facilities, its always nice to have a backup printer at your own home. So, to me this printer acts as a backup printer, just in case I forgot to make print out for tomorrows deadline. This printer does the job nicely. The black and color quality is just right. It is also very cheap. Not to mention the ink cost is the cheapest among the rest. However, if you are thinking of making print out everyday in abundance, this is not the printer for you. I didnt compare the ink volume that comes with it. But I think it has lower volume than the others. Recently, I made print out every single day around 5 to 10 pages. Within 1 month, the ink detector already gave me a low signal. All in all, this is a cheap but has a good print quality. But dont use it every day.
