Well if you have to buy filters then this is a good brand. I dont know much about filters however i have used this brand numerous times with no issues. Of course in hindsight i wish i bought a filterless air purifier but in the meantime i will continue to use this product. Yes i will recommend.

I honestly didnt even know what these were when I got them. Now I know they make my filter last 4x longer. Nothing touched the filter with these pre-filters properly installed and changed regularly.

These were cheaper than the other filters offered by other sellers. I cannot say how well they work in terms of the activated carbon absorbing anything but it helps to be able to replace the outer filters when they become dusty. I put them in a 1 gallon zip top bag once I got them to keep them fresh (prevent the carbon from absorbing as much as it would otherwise). On the downside, although the width was correct, the filters are not tall enough so I have to cut one of the others to fill the rest of the filter area.

Good product for the price. I recommend using these filters instead of replacing the entire cartridge. Just clean and vacuum the cartridge with the vacuum hose attachment.

These filters are thicker and much better quality than the one that came with the air purifier. Very happy with purchase!

Sent the product back on 9/25 and still awaiting a refund. Nothing wrong with it, simply ordered the wrong filter thinking it was the complete filter system. This is the longest Ive ever had to wait for a credit for anything on Amazon. Oy vay...

I guess I did not read well enough but you get 4 filters and each one lasts about 2 months. This is a great value and a great product. You can vacuum the filters once a month to make them last longer, just use a hand vacuum with a hose. These are packaged bent so they have a bit of a memory so lie them flat on arrival.

Right - These are JUST the carbon pre-filters, and they fit perfectly with my 4800 series, come in a neat little resealable plastic bag and cost about a dollar or so less than the other inexpensive ones. The reason I keep purchasing these is that they work - and they fit, and they dont smell weird or do any of the other things some reviewers say other brands/types do. We have both the 5000 Pet Series and the 4800 series, they are different sizes, so make sure to purchase the filters that fit your specific unit, but Ive now purchased these a few times and I have yet to be let down. Theyre even actually nicer than the original GermGuardian pre-filter. Yay!

Easy to replace

Works fine but needs to be changed frequently. Like once a month maybe. Otherwise its gets blocked and the noise level increases
