> 24 hourDespite some adverse reviews this product has received, I gave it a try. It really is the best industrial solder I have ever used. It creates very clean, strong and shiny soldering points, perfect for audio equipment construction. After measuring mainly resistance results on the conductors, one can see the circuits are never adversely affected. Very easy to use, follows the flux path exactly and leaves no porosity in the bonding points. Excellent!!

> 24 hourJust did an Elekit single ended tube amp kit. Used Kester for the structural solder. But I sprung for the best for any joints in the signal path. This stuff is great to work with. Do you really want to wonder What if?, Nah, just use the good stuff for your music, you deserve it.

> 24 hourI use this solder exclusively on the high end studio and audiophile audio cables I assemble in the shop. While I dont know that I believe it improves audio quality, its far easier to work with than normal solder, saves me time in production (especially when its high volume), and creates very strong joints that resist corrosion. My understanding is it will improve corrosion resistance long term, and it seems to. Ive also never had a failed joint with this solder, on any of the thousands of cables I made (and some musicians are very abusive to cables). So while Ill use Multicore solder for my electronics prototyping and Kester for regular jobs, anything really important strength- and signal- wise usually gets Cardas. And its made here in Oregon, which I love.

> 24 hourThe real Cardas is on the right. Cardas solder flows much better than this and doesnt have nearly as much flux. This acts like its lead free solder, its very difficult to melt. The amount of flux is ridiculous. Bottom line, youre paying for Cardas quality, and getting a very cheap knock off!

> 24 hourGreat stuff, easy to work with, on par with WBT 0800 but much more economical. Flows easy with a low temperature melting point.

> 24 hourI bought this simply because I had ran out of the solder I was using, and based on the recommendation of a video I had watched on youtube which was a tutorial for soldering techniques. They recommended silver solder with a rosin flux, and this just so happend to be the best price to quantity ratio I found on amazon. I had to fix some bad joints on my guitar, a stratocaster, and got the chance to try this solder out. As many have said, it heats at a lower temperature than lower-grade solder, as well as flows much, much better. If I can help it Ill be purchasing this solder again in the future for my guitar related needs.

> 24 hourI grew up in the 50s and 60s and took Electronics Shop in High School and did projects before that so Ive spent countless hours with a soldering gun or iron in my hands. Im used to old school solder and had some worries that newer stuff would be difficult. Its not. This solder performs extremely well. Some of that is possibly due to a decent soldering station, but even on a cheap throwaway gun it handles just fine.
