Cardas Soldering Wire Quad Eutectic Silver Solder with rosin flux 1/4 lbs (113g) roll

I really wanted to like this solder since most of what I do is geared towards audio. I design and build class-D amplifiers and speaker systems and like the idea of using silver solder. I have used Radio Shack silver bearing solder for years and it has been my go-to silver solder for audio and surface mount work. This solder behaves very much like lead-free solder even though it is labeled as having lead content. It really doesnt want to stick to anything, even the soldering iron tip, and just beads up into a ball and falls off the solder wire. It even has trouble soaking into fluxed de-soldering braid. I cant really recommend this solder but for best results use higher heat and a LOT of flux.

This is EXCELLENT solder! Cardas makes great stuff, even there entry level parts are very nice. Solder flows nice , no issues.

I used this Soldering Wire and without any doubt is the best at moment available on the market. Most of people ignore the importance of a good soldering. You may use High Definition Cables, Gold Plated Connectors, etc. but they become useless if you dont connect them in the right way. In my humble opinion the Cardas Soldering Wire simply does not alter/modify the continuity of signal between a cable and a connector or any other component. And in addition it is so easy to use. Even with an economic solder.

Ive used multiple brands/types of solder, and this is my favorite so far. Ive used it on guitar pedals, reel to reel machines, guitars, amps, and even small SMD work. It works great! great bondage with a shiny end result every time. Would recommend 100%

Melts like butter. Hardens quick. I dont see any flux residue. This stuff is awesome, and its made my job a lot easier!

As a ASEET electronics tech I been soldering for 40 years. This is easily the best solder Ive used. The flow out is fantastic and makes a cold solder joint impossible unless you screw up from a lack of solder skills. The silver content is perfect and is proven by the bright silver color of the joints and testing a 5 foot length with an ohm meter against the other brands. The Cardas shows the lowest resistance of any solder out there. Clean the soldered joint with a q tip and alcohol to see the proof. I add a dab of rosin flux on old solder joints with unknown solder and this solder flows and blends perfectly.

I only use this, put away my wonder solder along time ago, and recently compared them again, with the benefit of experience. Wow. The only solder.

I have used Cardas silver bearing solder on several tubed stereo amplifiers etc.that I have built. In fact, if I am building anything sound related I use this. Does it make a difference in sound quality? you may rightfully ask. I will say, Welp, I think it does, however you may not. But thats why I use it. I mean, plus, it IS really good solder. I have always been very pleased with anything I have purchased with the Cardas name so there you have it. I will absolutely buy more when this roll runs out.

Absolutely great solder, flows easy, good cleanup, sounds fantastic in my Bottlehead Crack. A clean precise solder for audio applications.
