Greater than one weekAs I expected. Very little silver content. This explains why the dont list it. And the rosin core stinks.

> 3 dayJust the right weight for work from medium to fine. This solder really is better and it tins and flows more easily than any other Ive used in 20+ years of pro and hobby soldering. Great stuff, worth every penny if you value a quality and aesthetically pleasing solder joint.

> 3 dayI wanted to try an actual silver solder but have always heard they were difficult to work with. Not so for this one, although I am using an X-Tronic work station, not a pen type iron, so at 75 watts it has headroom. I cant tell the difference between this and the Wonder Signature I normally use.

01-04-2025Best solder Ive ever used. Low temp and solid connections every time. I may be breaking some unspoken rules for using it on non-critical electrical and structural pieces, but its so easy to work with that I cant resist.

> 3 dayIm not the sort that subscribes to Cardas audiophile nonsense marketing ploys, but this solder is genuinely fantastic. It wets the first time, every time, and produces clean and solid joints every time. Surface mount, through-hole, point to point, doesnt matter, it does exactly what you tell it to each and every time. I use it for everything, because the sheer consistency and cleanliness it provides is invaluable for any electrical work. The melting point is a bit low for higher temperature applications, but for general consumer electronics it simply does not get better than this. I spent years of my life believing that I was simply bad at soldering, and that it was something I could never get good at -- and then my boyfriend gave me a roll of this. Have never bought anything else since.

> 3 dayIve used other silver-based solders in the past for my custom cables that I build. Ive used smaller quantities of Cardas solder in the past. Buying 1/4 of Cardas off Amazon was a great find. The product is very easy to work with once I have my soldering iron dialed into the right heat level.
