Greater than one weekI grew up in the 50s and 60s and took Electronics Shop in High School and did projects before that so Ive spent countless hours with a soldering gun or iron in my hands. Im used to old school solder and had some worries that newer stuff would be difficult. Its not. This solder performs extremely well. Some of that is possibly due to a decent soldering station, but even on a cheap throwaway gun it handles just fine.

> 3 dayI needed something that sounded better than regular solder. This is the best sounding solder Ive found. If you care about audio buy this solder. It is a littler harder to use, however it will be worth the price and effects. Once you hear the fine details in your music you will not go back to regular solder.

> 3 dayThis works great in all situations. Maybe there are other solders that are this good? But when audio fidelity is important, it never lets me down. Highly recommended for musical instrument assembly, audiophile cables, and anywhere else where you expect it to work perfectly forever.

> 3 dayExcellent solder - a hidden gem. Proper size (~0.81mm) which is important as anything above 0.8 or so is really pushing it for most electronic work, certainly precision work with audio. Its not the cheapest solder, but its not that expensive considering the quality you get from Cardas. It melts at a very low temperature, which is always good for the longevity of your product/PCB, and it flows beautifully. I did not need to use any extra flux wiring many 24AWG wires and SMD components - the solder provides a clean, smooth flow and the joints come out very nicely. Of course, a proper iron with good tips and technique is essential in soldering, but the Cardas solder provides an easy, efficient, waste-free product for all types of electronic work and certainly in the high end audio sector.

> 3 dayI have used Cardas silver bearing solder on several tubed stereo amplifiers etc.that I have built. In fact, if I am building anything sound related I use this. Does it make a difference in sound quality? you may rightfully ask. I will say, Welp, I think it does, however you may not. But thats why I use it. I mean, plus, it IS really good solder. I have always been very pleased with anything I have purchased with the Cardas name so there you have it. I will absolutely buy more when this roll runs out.

> 3 dayI really wanted to like this solder since most of what I do is geared towards audio. I design and build class-D amplifiers and speaker systems and like the idea of using silver solder. I have used Radio Shack silver bearing solder for years and it has been my go-to silver solder for audio and surface mount work. This solder behaves very much like lead-free solder even though it is labeled as having lead content. It really doesnt want to stick to anything, even the soldering iron tip, and just beads up into a ball and falls off the solder wire. It even has trouble soaking into fluxed de-soldering braid. I cant really recommend this solder but for best results use higher heat and a LOT of flux.

> 3 dayThis is top grade solder. It flows very well and is very nice to use. Properly done joints all have a mirror finish.

> 3 dayBy far the best electronic solder on the planet! I will never purchase anything but this solder for PCB boards! It’s makes the job not only easier but enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone. When my roll starts to get low I will be purchasing another.
