10-06-2025I settled on the Carhart after much research. I wanted leather at first, but couldnt afford it. This is a nice compromise and is probably more durable. It does what I need it to do. It carries my laptop, charger, mouse, lunch, and even my running shoes and clothes. I attach my coffee thermos and smoothie to the daisy chain loops if needed and carry personal protection, ear buds, and other items in the pouches. Its a perfect size for me. All that stuff up to the laptop on the table was in there!

> 3 dayCheaper price than in store, same quality. High schooler uses backpack for school and then in the summer fishing and bike riding. Holds up and great quality

> 3 dayI bought this backpack recently after my last was stolen. I was looking for something that made organizing my materials easy and was waterproof. I recently traveled to England and my suitcase got lost. The only thing I had was what is packed in this bag for the next 8 days. It was a phenomenal bag. It went everywhere with us, and held everything we needed. I sprayed it with an extra layer of waterproofing spray just to be safe, and it held up beautifully our whole trip. The pockets on the front have many small pockets that make it a breeze to keep pens and pencils within easy reach. The laptop pocket closes with a stretchy Velcro piece which lets you carry items of different sizes in the two pockets easily.

15-06-2025I feel it was priced a little too high. Could have probably gotten a tactical backpack for what I paid. Lesson learned.

Greater than one weekThis is a very nice looking bag for work. My son wanted something more professional and smaller than his college backpack for commuting on the train. The bottom leather-ish is good if he has to put it down and the fabric is thick and sturdy. The side nets hold thermos/waterbottle. I was nervous about the standard size backpack fitting his laptop (15 x 10) but it fits, no problem. Hoping the straps hold up as other reviews noted that has been a problem. Great backpack!

> 3 dayOne of the highest quality day packs Ive ever owned. I wanted one that was NOT narrowly built, geared only to people carrying laptops and devices. This one, although it has inner pockets for a laptop and tablet, has plenty of space to carry clothing and other gear. The top outside pocket is the perfect size for my glasses case or my phone, and the bottom pocket is useful for a dozen purposes. It seems very durable and well made, and best of all, it actually stands upright when you set it down (so tired of those that topple over)! The only con is the thick strap with industrial-strength Velcro that spans the inside laptop pockets. It is impossible to unfasten with one hand, and its mostly in the way. There is no way to remove it either. But this is a small thing. A great bag I would happily recommend to others. I dont know how it will do in the Portland rain, but I suspect just fine.

> 3 dayMy son is a senior in college and has had the same backpack since sophomore year high school. He’s not a stuff guy and will make thing last. Well his old pack pack zipper broke so he requested this one. Really likes it for his laptop and it very rugged. He figured ls he can use this camping with no problem once he is done with school.

> 3 dayCarhartt tuff. Not too big, not to small. Great material on the bottom of the bag that is gunk resistant when you set it down. The laptop carrier nice as well. Just enough pockets but not too many. Love the Carhartt classic color. Looks real good in an F150. Pairs well with a Busch Light.
