This stuff smells sooooooo bad, I only use it in my garage. Works great but kinda hard to clean up, maybe I’m missing something but IPA doesn’t do much to clean up the excess

This is the first real flux that I ever used. I bought this for SMD and before this I just used solder for rework. i.e. just melt more solder on the site of rework and use the Rosin core in the solder. After I tried this flux, I cant even imagine why I waited so long to use flux. Now I finally understand why my EE major friend always say there is never too much flux. It just makes soldering and rework sooo much eaiser. Highly recommended. foot note: this flux smells really sweet (literally)... better smelling than the rosin core in my solder. I find it to be a plus.

As flux, this stuff works just fine, but Ive found it extremely troublesome to clean up. I usually like having my boards clean, especially if Im going to be handling them. Ive been unable to effectively clean this stuff off completely with either 91% isopropyl alcohol or MG 4140 flux remover, both with or without a fairly stiff brush. After soldering, the residue is either a very sticky goop or just straight rosin. Both are annoyingly hard to clean.

Used for my electronic hobby work. This replaces the exact same product that got used up. No complaints.

Ive used several different flux from liquid to paste. I was using a liquid that I thought was pretty good stuff aside from the liquid being harder to manage (messy and plugs up dispensers). Once I tried the ChipQuik I was amazed, this is no-clean and it flow solder sooooo well! I really like the syringe applicator in apposed to liquid/brush on or dropper. Ive also used the ChipQuik tacky paste in syringe which is for extra holding power of components while soldering, both are great but I use this Rework paste the most. Highly recommended!!!

Used this product on a 100 pin ARM chip. The Flux was a bit too wet. It did not seem to work very good for me while trying to solder the fine pitched pins onto the pads. I had too much bridging. Also, the product made quit the mess. It took a few cleanings to get the flux off of the board. I discarded the product and reverted back to using a Kester Flux pin. Less bridging, and less of a mess to clean.

I hear everyone crying about amtex or this that or another brand is so much better. Ive been using this flux and it works great. When you heat component up this stuff doesnt just evaporate, it does the job perfect. I even use it with a normal soldering iron. Its not necessary but definitely helps. I would highly recommend this, dont spend double the money for something else when this works great.

Remove QFDs, PLCCs, SOICs and chip components without costly and complex equipment. Use ChipQuik with your existing rework equipment or temperature controlled soldering irons. Special removal alloy has excellent wetting ability with a low melting temperature of 136F (58C). To use: apply paste flux to all leads with syringe; melt ChipQuik alloy on all pins of SMD; with wide iron tip; maintain alloy in a molten state long enough to release chip; lift chip from board with pick-up tool. Safe, affordable, easy and won"t damage sensitive components. NoClean Paste Flux; 10cc syringe with tip.
