I wanted to use this for professional work, so I called ChipQuik to get some questions answered. Without divulging the name of the manufacturer of the flux itself, be assured that this flux is ROL0 rated. This means that it wont corrode the solder joints over time, like some other more aggressive fluxes will do. Im docking a star because my order didnt come with the pink needle as shown in the picture. The different colors represent different needle diameters, and it is important to size the needle correctly for the size of the surface mount components that you are soldering. Also not shown in the sellers picture is a black rubber cap that locks the handle to the syringe plunger so the handle doesnt fall out every time you let go. Some of my shipments have the cap included, and some do not. See my photo for what I received.

Works as intended at a great price. Thank you!

Have used this several times since I bought it. I dont know why they call it no clean. It leaves a residue and needs to be cleaned off. The flux if it gets too hot leaves a black residue on the board that is hard to clean off. The flux works as intended but should not be called no clean flux.

This is probably fairly difficult to find in many locations, but the Amazon price is competitive and helpful. It cleans up pretty easily with 90% isopropyl and a toothbrush.

Good solder flux makes all the difference soldering surface mount components. You can never use too much, and this was easy to clean. TIP: Ive found the easiest way to clean the metal dispensing tips is to briefly soak it in alcohol and then blow it out with an air compressor nozzle. Push the nozzle up tight to the plastic end so no air escapes and it will blow the stuff right out the end.

This made surface mount soldering super easy! Very first thing I have ever surface mount soldered was a 44-pin micro, using this ChipQuik drag soldering ... it came out absolutely perfect. Maybe Im perfect, maybe its maybelline... wups I meant ChipQuik. No but you should still clean your pcb after... of course you should.

Ive been looking for a flux to install IC connectors on iPad Mini digitizers, and this stuff works. The solder flows perfectly onto the contacts in one nice pass. Great stuff. A tiny bit goes a long way, I can probably do 100 iPad Minis with this tube.

Remove QFDs, PLCCs, SOICs and chip components without costly and complex equipment. Use ChipQuik with your existing rework equipment or temperature controlled soldering irons. Special removal alloy has excellent wetting ability with a low melting temperature of 136F (58C). To use: apply paste flux to all leads with syringe; melt ChipQuik alloy on all pins of SMD; with wide iron tip; maintain alloy in a molten state long enough to release chip; lift chip from board with pick-up tool. Safe, affordable, easy and won"t damage sensitive components. NoClean Paste Flux; 10cc syringe with tip.
