We take our cats to a cat-only groomer twice a year (you read that correctly) and she recommended this comb to us. We have two DSH rescues with different coat textures, but this comb works magic on both. Apparently it feels great, because both of our boys glue themselves to my leg when I pull it out of the drawer. It gets a decent amount of hair up from one of our boys, but hardly any from the other. Either way, they both look sleeker after a quick comb through.

This is a nice, smooth, sturdy comb, but I cant see a dimes worth of difference between this $32.00 comb and the $7.42 Andis Pet 7 1/2 inch steel comb. I bought this one first because my husband has a terrible time keeping knots and mats out of his shelties hair. He was not impressed so I tried it on my sheltie who has no knots and no mats. I could not pull it through her hair either. There was considerable drag so I had to back it out. Out of curiosity, I ordered the Andis Pet 7 1/2 inch comb and it performed the same way--no better and no worse. After we tried the Tropiclean Tangle Remover both combs did a beautiful job. I suspect almost any comb would work with the help of Tropiclean.

I bought this for my papillon because I was having trouble combing the soft fur around his ears. It does a beautiful job and was half the price of the professional grooming tools. Very sturdy and easy to hold.

I love this to groom my 3 Ragdoll cats….not sure they’re as thrilled as I am, though! It does a great job, but I still find it very expensive for the average cat owner. I do recommend it as a great grooming tool, but difficult to justify the price.

This comb looks nearly identical to my other combs, but its not. Its fantastic! It works much, much better. Have a 3 yr old long haired Samoyed dog who grows giants mats on her head every night. Its always even a long unpleasant battle to remove the mats. But not now. The Chris Christensen comb gets through the fur & breaks up the mats very quickly. I highly recommend.

ButterComb is a great tool for caring for your Samoyed. Ensuring a Sammys fur is properly maintained is a difficult task. Getting down to the skin through that double-coated fur is hard to do without scratching the dog. ButterComb makes it both easy and comfortable for your dog. If you have a cheap comb, rub it across your hand to see how it feels. Chances are the experience will not only feel uncomfortable but leave scratch marks on your hand. ButterComb will slip easily across your hand and it will stay that way a long time.

I bought all kinds of different brushes but this comb is best for my golden retriever - she is a field golden so I have no issues combing through her double coat with this.

I bought this comb after another groomer in my salon got it and I borrowed it for the day. Ive been using my andis metal comb for about my entire 7 years of grooming, and I was like well its a comb who cares. Its not like shears or blenders or brushes. Woah was I wrong, its miraculously light. That sounds stupid because, well its a comb, but you dont realize how heavy a comb is until you switch to something lighter. Ive also had two serious drops with it so far and not even a bent tooth, which was my most serious concern with it being so light. Im about to be going on 8 years of grooming and all I care about is that my tools are feather light and amazing. This comb is both. With drop coats I can just comb through and poof static is gone. It was clearly forged in the olden days and is of elvish make. I highly recommend this magic comb.

Having 2 sizes on one small comb is perfect for the head and face of our small breed puppy. Not sharp at all so I can get close to eyes and remove hard crud. Doesnt bother puppy when I use it.

Exactly what I needed! As a dog groomer I have been looking for the perfect comb to use on the faces of the small and toy dogs that come into our shop. After hearing nothing but rave reviews about this product line I bit the bullet and started up my collection. This comb works exactly as described. Please note the size as some reviews complain about it being small. This comb is SUPPOSED to be tiny so make sure this is the right size for you before ordering! There are many different combs to choose from but Im looking to buy ALL of Chriss buttercombs over time.
