Greater than one weekThis is an excellent piece. Timbuk2 generally has rock solid quality and this bag is no exception. the XL size is very accommodating. I packed two weeks worth of gear into this bag for a recent work trip... so a mix of work attire, workout gear and casual stuff. No issues at all. Probably had room for more!

> 3 dayThis is without a doubt a bag that has been thought out in design except for the size. It is anything but small. It is so well made and the features are many as has been detailed in other reviews. It is so study and will hold up for years if not decades to come. BUt it is Huge!!! I took it out of the box, opened it up and could fit my entire wordwobe for a year in there. Very deceiving. I am a flight attendant and have traveled exclusively with TravelPro and this bag is equal in quility to my flight bag. However I need a smaller lighter bag for travel in Europe this summer. I have measured this and the demensions are indeed 21inches high. But it is easily 15inches wide and 10inches deep. Which is over the permitted size for really any carry on. And its heavy. I dont have a scale but it has to be 9 lbs and is just as heavy as my flight bag which is 9-10lbs. Its a great buy for $100. I just wish is was smaller because it just has so many great features. It just doesnt meet my needs.

> 3 dayThis bag looks great and the reviews are consistently good; which, after much research and consideration led me to purchase it. However, my first impression upon receiving this bag was that the design is lacking in several main areas. As a mechanical engineer I am very picky when it comes to design and build quality. One of the main reasons I purchased this bag was because of the robust looking, external telescopic handle and skateboard wheels. Awesome concept but the design and build quality really let me down. This was apparent upon my first time using this bag. The release mechanism inside the tubes is not supported well and therefore rattles around when youre rolling on anything rougher than a polished airport floor. The rattling is amplified by the tubes and it is utterly annoying especially for a bag that you just dropped $200+ on. I tried to contact Timbuk2 on their customer support line but after three failed attempts just gave up. Fast forward 10 months later while on a trip to Europe rattling down the streets of Dubrovnik the telescopic tube assembly fails completely; pulling apart at one of the joints. The release mechanism was giving some problems in the previous weeks randomly jamming open.. which didnt surprise me given how loose the internals seem to be. When the thing finally broke I had to resort to tying a scarf around the handle and pulling it around.. for two weeks more!! The other main complaint I have about this bag is that the corners are not sufficiently protected. It would have been easy to mount some plastic corner plates on the bottom half but they didnt do it and trust me, it will get frayed and scuffed on your first trip outside of a car trunk.

Greater than one weekUsed this as my carry-on when I traveled to Brazil from the US. Also traveled domestic within Brazil. Size was never questioned. Held 30lbs. Felt sturdy, wheels are excellent. Handle raises and lowers easily. External access to one side is a nice touch.

Greater than one weekBuyer Beware, cheap imitation skateboard wheels! I love the copilot 2 bag so much,I bought a second one after a car ran over my old one at the ATL. But, the second bag is less than 6 months old and the wheel bearings are already making terrible clicking sounds. I ordered some sweet skateboard bearings to replace but the axle is too skinny to take em. These shouldnt have worn out yet, but at least they should use standard skateboard bearings an truck diameter screws for the bag. They dont and they are already jacked. Forcing you to buy an entire replacement hub assembly. Will be leaving this review on Amazon also, as I bought the original on there. Buyer Beware, cheap imitation skateboard wheels

> 3 dayI love the skateboard wheels. They are great and able to tackle all that I have thrown at it so far! The zip-acessible front pocket is genious and very handy. It is a little smaller than my old carry-on but Ill make it work

> 3 dayI like the wheels and how it easily glides, but the zipper on the main compartment is soooooo hard to zip open or closed. I am very disappointed in the quality of this zipper for the price I paid for this piece of luggage.

Greater than one weekI spent a few weeks traveling for work a month ago and this bag was great. I am a very minimalist traveler so having a carry on that fits overhead with out any fuss was great.
