Commute Messenger Bag

Great size, fits my 15 laptop fine. Comfortable and lots of place for storage and pockets. Very well designed.

Hoping for typical Timbuk2 quality, I bought it to replace a previous model. I use the bag for business and I travel quite a bit making the shoulder carrying strap, water pockets, and laptop section ideal. The small phone pocket size and reduced amount of pockets in zippered (secure) sections force me to return the bag. Ok. I couldnt return the bag since I waited too long evaluating it. My first Timbuk2 was purchased in 2006 and retired in 2018. Darn good Id say. It spent 900,000 miles traveling and being stuffed under seats and into overhead bins. This new bag was pressed into service and didnt last a year. The zipper to the computer side broke rendering it useless. Id expect that performance out of a $30 bag, not Timbuk2. Sad to see what Timbuk2 has become. Gets one star because I cant give it zero.

This is a great messenger bag and is perfect in many ways. Its like a hybrid of a work and travel messenger bags combined. I see myself taking this on trips and using it daily to and from work. My ONLY issue is and I wonder if anyone else has the same issue.... The black middle part of the bag if it scrapes up against anything, say even a finger nail lightly it leaves marks on the bag. This bag is too nice and I dont want to return it, but it doesnt look good with scrapes, or off color markings.

Plenty of storage in a compact carry-all. Attractive, though I wish a blue color would have been available

Not enough pockets on the inside and didnt realize there was velcro on the outside which helps with the flap but then you have pull it every time you want to open it. Laptop weight is distributed on the outside for TSA which is nice for the airport but not for carrying after that. Disappointing bag but got it at a good price so will live with it for now.

Great quality with plenty of space. Love this bag, I guess the only improvement I would recommend is making the the clips metal rather plastic. That being said very happy with this bag.

I really like this bag. The materials and construction seem high quality. It is larger than I needed, but Im NOT holding that against it. For some reason the economics of these bags are weird and the Small size was way more expensive than the Medium. Anyway, I can put my Macbook Air 11 and my iPad mini and all their various cables and adapters in the bag and still have room for my lunch and possibly a hoodie, too. I could have easily gone with a Small. One thing I DO find fault with, though, is the shoulder strap. Its got no grip! It constantly slides off my shoulder. I find myself having to keep a hand on the strap while I walk.
