> 3 dayI got the bag in a medium and the quality is first rate. Some of the design features just dont make sense however. The main flap has the soft part of a Velcro strip but there is no corresponding Velcro for it to attach to. There a few narrow and deep pockets that I can barely get my hand into. There is a Velcro strap under the main flap that seems to have no purpose at all. There is a thin strap on the front that serves no purpose. The bottle holders on the sides arent deep enough. I could go one. Nonetheless, I give it four stars because of the quality, the main compartment is just the right size and there are several very useful pockets. Im just saying that a few simple changes could make this bag much better.

> 3 dayIm very happy with this bag. I use it for walking to work. I got the medium size bag and it fits my laptop snugly (10 x 13 3/8 x 1 1/4). If you go to the Timbuktu site they will list various laptops and their dimensions. It is a tighter fit than I expected so perhaps some of the data is wrong. The main pocket is a good size for carrying other things such as a bottle of wine and other groceries picked up after work. The outer pockets under the flap are softly lined and are good for cell phone or reading glasses. I have been using it solidly for only 3 weeks but no wear or issues so far. Other Timbuktu products have held up over many years of abuse so I expect no different. It generally doesnt stand up on its own unless the main compartment is loaded.

> 3 dayOverall, I love this bag. Who doesnt love tons of useful pockets, really great build quality and outstanding customer support? I like the addition of a handle up to and a water bottle pick on the side. The plush red lining in the laptop compartment is very soft.

> 3 dayThis is my third messenger bag in the past 5 years, and probably the best. It replaces an old design from REI that is no longer being sold. The Timbuk2 bag somehow manages to hold as much stuff as the REI bag did while taking up considerably less space. There are plenty of interior pockets to help with organization. Im not sure how water resistant it is since I havent had it outside in the rain or drizzle. The REI bag was excellent in that regard; it had an interior zipper that allowed you to completely seal off the contents of the bag from the elements. The Timbuk2 bag lacks such an interior zipper, but the outer flap may provide similar protection. I do wish that the side pockets on the outside of the bag were a little deeper, to ensure that water bottles and travel mugs stayed in place.

> 3 dayEverything about this bag is well thought out and intelligently designed (well, almost everything. I cut out the useless netting inside the bags main compartment).

> 3 dayThis is the best bag I have ever bought in my life. I need two more. I switch out the stuff, its perfect for travel, and field work. A little big for personal bag, but hey....sometimes I need my stuff with me. Great bag if you are busy with many projects at once. Has helped my organization process loads.
