Greater than one weekElderly parent with Dementia plus Diabetes need I say more? When said individual is determined you’d be surprised what can be figured out and after all the frozen food purchased during COVID almost went bust this beautiful lock came on board! “Is it broken?” meaning the refrigerator as he had left the freezer door open to defrost straining the unit, a twinkle in the eye. No incidents in five months as everything is always locked up safely and securely. Researched many of the other locks and this is the one I picked. Made sure to follow installation directions correctly and asked for assistance with adhesion pressure from a strong hand. Frozen foods are now safe and the unit as a whole is operating not being strained by any saboteur.

> 3 dayAfter being installed for about 2 years working well at keeping my kids out of the refrigerator, one of my teenagers decided to pry off one of the plates causing the plate to disconnect from the tape. While good product, need something more durable in combatting creativity.

> 3 dayThese are good for the price. The product can be made great with modification. The included (and pre-applied) tape is high-strength, but its just not going to cut it for this purpose. No sticky tape will. I wish they would have no pre-applied it, so that I could have used it for some other purpose. Not a big deal, I still sort of used it. First thing I did was cut out and remove most of the tape. I only left a half inch or so border. I then scored the bare plastic (where the tape is now removed) with a knife. Mark and tape the rectangle where you will be attaching this. Score or scuff it and clean with alcohol pads. Get yourself some 30 minute or longer cure epoxy. Mix it. Fill in the the de-taped and scored space on the pads with epoxy. Peel off the tape label. Press and hold the pad to the surface of the fridge or whatever that you previously marked and taped off. The sticky tape ends up helping because it will hold it in place well while the epoxy dries, and will also prevent it from leaking. Wait the recommend time for cure of epoxy. When cured, these will now (truly) be permanently attached and secure. For the stuff I used, that was 24 hours. Using this method, these are, ugh, never coming off...ever. You can lift the whole mini fridge full of stuff using this product and there is no way these are coming off. The beauty with this product is that if I ever decide to repurpose the fridge and not need to lock it anymore, its not a big deal. The cable part is removable, and only the bases will remain. You can hang a bottle opener or whatever from it. Basically, you really cant go wrong by (truly) permanently installing these. I would buy this again

Greater than one weekI purchased this door lock as a last resort due to my children leaving my deep freeze door open enough to wipe out my entire deep freeze 2 different times now. My deep freeze is an upright and is located in the basement, so it is not typically caught open until it is too late. Unfortunately, my deep freeze did not come with a lock or an alarm on it. While searching for a door alarm on Amazon, I noticed many of them had iffy reviews because they were electronic. This was the best thing I could find that didnt need batteries, anything wireless, or anything that would really fail on this setup. I am very please with the product and the thorough instructions that came with it (even though installing this was a no-brainer). Currently I am using a padlock I had laying around, but will be switching over to a word lock so I do not have to keep up with a key when I just need to grab a frozen pizza for lunch. Installation was easy and took 2 mins, no tools required. I like that the white matches my freezer and the lock does not make it look like I am hiding dead bodies in there. I will probably ordering 1 or 2 more to lock the kids out of my basement fridge and freezer combo as well. Luckily, all of my other appliances have door and temperature alarms on them.

> 3 dayIt seems to be built well but the adhesive didn’t stick like I had hoped. I used this on a shelving unit to keep the door closed. I’m planning on adding a stronger glue or something.

> 3 dayI bought this probably almost 2 years ago and still holds up today. Was fast and easy to put on. Securely sets with the strong adhesive and I was very happy.

> 3 dayIve had these in the past 5 years ago and they worked great. They are very strong. I use these to keep my kids out of the fridge and freezer otherwise they sneak food out of the fridge and when I go to use it to make dinner its gone. I have a side by side and it works fine. When I had these in the past I had a top and bottom so I needed two. It was a rental house. So when we moved out I had to pry those suckers off. So if someone tries to take them off its going too be some work. Our fridge is smooth so they stuck well. I also cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol before I put them on. So make sure you clean the area. Use soap and water first wipe dry then do the rubbing alcohol. If you dont clean the area they may not stick well. I got the black because our fridge is black. Before I used white on our white fridge.

> 3 dayThis seems to be a good solution to hindering anybody getting into the mini fridge. It attaches securely with the 3M backing. Really need to be accurate with the location of the 2 tape ends otherwise the locking bars wont line up. I dont think the material holding the locking bars in place is tough enough to keep anybody from using a hack saw to cut through it, but it will slow them down.

> 3 dayI brought this thinking the adhesive would come off within the first two weeks since I would be putting it on a small chest freezer which typically runs warn, hence my apprehension as I though the glue would come get heated and it would get unstuck. image my surprise 6 month in and this sucker is still going strong. You have to be careful when applying it originally as once enough force is applying it will take a bit of work to get off. I really like to fact that it came with the lock include and for the price I at least kind of fell as like Im getting my money worth. all in all would definitely recommend.
