This seems to be a good solution to hindering anybody getting into the mini fridge. It attaches securely with the 3M backing. Really need to be accurate with the location of the 2 tape ends otherwise the locking bars wont line up. I dont think the material holding the locking bars in place is tough enough to keep anybody from using a hack saw to cut through it, but it will slow them down.

10* star product ! I got this for a workplace fridge. Trust issues influenced the decision to lock the fridge. This product is high quality and worked exactly promised. The adhesive is super strong and after waiting the 24 hour drying time it’s not easily coming off. The instructions were super easy to understand and application was dead easy! Comes with a high quality lock with multiple extra keys. You can also use your own lock if desired a d if it fits through the mounts.

We just bought a freezer and we must keep it in a carport. We live in Washington state. It is cold. Temperatures today will be in the 50s for the high. The directions for installing say the ideal temperatures are between 70 to 100 degrees and ...the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily if you try it at lower temperatures. I am reluctant to try a hair dryer technique. It looks like a good lock, but not for us for a while. The temperature requirements should be in the prodect description.

Holds firmly, with palm-strength pressure, the pads applied solidly, and instantly, with no shifting around as I continued to apply pressure. Got mine to line up perfectly, to do this, I lined up both, removed one, and tracked the location, then I held up both, removed the other, and traced the second location, then applied each. The lock is solid, and without bolt cutters, you arent getting in. The keys are durable, and will last you a long time. The instructions are edifying, and perfectly instructive, to receive a clean installation, easy as pie. (Pie is more difficult to do right) The plastic is strong, solid, and matte. The threads, or metal arms, are powerful, slightly flexible metal. This is an excellent deterrent to invasive roommates, if your have another house you would like to lock the fridge of, or if your leaving on vacation and you have beer in the fridge and teens in the house. The only way to get through this security is have applied it wrong, using a flat knife to slowly ease the pad away from the door, or using a bolt cutter on the lock. So for just about everybody, this lock will suffice.

My Mother who sadly suffers with early onset dementia lives with me. She would (for a time) wander at night and I would find food in the bathroom and out on counters in the mornings. I HATED doing it, but had to buy these and they worked. She doesnt do much night time digging in the fridge anymore, so its cool that I can remove the cables. I didnt read the directions, but commonsense says Clean the areas where you will place them. I shouldve read them though, cause I didnt take into account the size of the lock and lined them up wrong, so for awhile there I had to hear the fridge door open enough to shake when the cables pulled together and hit the lock. That was clearly my issue. I would totally buy another one if ever needed to.

I bought other locks on here a while ago and theyre great, however, these right here? These have easily become the new favorites for my Dad and I. Not only is the installation easy... (Im not entirely sure what to refer to them as) the bar that you have to hook the lock in to... yeah, that baby can be fully removed. So if you needed to pull it off for some reason, you can. Afterwards youd just have the part with the adhesive on the back of it sticking to the fridge. If you know what I mean. Anyways, these are absolutely amazing. Family on a diet or need to be on a diet after a certain time? Lock up your fridge with these. Youll be happy you did lol

I purchased this door lock as a last resort due to my children leaving my deep freeze door open enough to wipe out my entire deep freeze 2 different times now. My deep freeze is an upright and is located in the basement, so it is not typically caught open until it is too late. Unfortunately, my deep freeze did not come with a lock or an alarm on it. While searching for a door alarm on Amazon, I noticed many of them had iffy reviews because they were electronic. This was the best thing I could find that didnt need batteries, anything wireless, or anything that would really fail on this setup. I am very please with the product and the thorough instructions that came with it (even though installing this was a no-brainer). Currently I am using a padlock I had laying around, but will be switching over to a word lock so I do not have to keep up with a key when I just need to grab a frozen pizza for lunch. Installation was easy and took 2 mins, no tools required. I like that the white matches my freezer and the lock does not make it look like I am hiding dead bodies in there. I will probably ordering 1 or 2 more to lock the kids out of my basement fridge and freezer combo as well. Luckily, all of my other appliances have door and temperature alarms on them.

So far I loved the first one so much I decided to buy two more I use them on my work cabinet / drawers where I keep my important things.. i was happy until I realized that the key for the lock that comes with the set up opens every single lock from same brands combo. Which means if you get your own lock it’s fine, but if you use the padlock it came with a person can just look up the item on amazon and buy the same one and use the key to open your lock... I would hope u don’t have food bandits that desperate (since this was meant for a fridge ... as for me, I need to buy my own locks because it’s a double measure on my locking cabinets that have laptops and iPads at work ...
