> 3 dayI’m actually using these as a way to keep my small DIY enclosed trailer door closed. I’ve had things slide and put some weight on them and not had any issue. My only worry is if the adhesive is really good enough for lasting through the AZ heat of summer. Just to be safe I drilled two holes in each and secured by screw. Can’t say how much weight or pressure they hold but it’s pretty good. While not the intended use I think it shows that they wouild be totally solid used as intended. The weakest link is likely the locks themselves but if used on a fridge are more than sufficient.

24-04-2025I brought this thinking the adhesive would come off within the first two weeks since I would be putting it on a small chest freezer which typically runs warn, hence my apprehension as I though the glue would come get heated and it would get unstuck. image my surprise 6 month in and this sucker is still going strong. You have to be careful when applying it originally as once enough force is applying it will take a bit of work to get off. I really like to fact that it came with the lock include and for the price I at least kind of fell as like Im getting my money worth. all in all would definitely recommend.

Greater than one weekGreat lock as long as you install correctly. Do not put padlock on until after 24 hours of installation. In addition, use alcohol to clean the surface of the fridge before you stick this on.

> 3 dayI really like these latches! I have a beautiful freezer in my garage. The bottom portion is the freezer and the top portion can be used as additional freezer or turned down to use as a spare refrigerator when needed. I have rented out a room in my house and given the top of the freezer set as a refrigerator to my tenant. He loves that he gets the whole thing to himself, especially after his last place where he was given a 10- inch square portion of shelf. Unfortunately, he has a bad habit of opening my freezer portion (he uses the freezer inside the house so has nothing in this freezer) and not pushing it shut all the way. Twice, I have discovered it left open and had to throw away all of the freezer contents! I was not happy. A friend mentioned locking the bottom portion with an outside lock and I cant believe this didnt occur to me. I was a little concerned that it would not adhere to the front door of the freezer because it is textured with a diamond plate design, so it is not completely flat. It worked perfectly and I now keep it locked all the time. I love that my tenant cannot accidentally open it now. He wouldnt steal from me, but he is extremely absent minded and I do not want to go through another hassle of replacing everything again.

> 3 dayI was weary about buying these as I didn’t believe a sticky pad would provide security. I initially bought super glue to use with these because I didn’t think they would stick without it. I decided I would try to use the locks as the instructions said....boy, was I wrong with my initial thoughts! Using the locks as I read in the instructions work well. I’ve had had them installed for a few weeks now. Upon trying to open the refrigerator and freezer with the lock on and locked, I was unable to open the fridge and freezer. So far they haven’t come off either. I bought these because my son steals food. I can leave the lock unlocked when needed. You can move the strap part as needed so it’s not in the way when leaving it unlocked. I bought two sets of locks and they are keyed alike. It’s good for me because I have four keys. I’m not fond of the price but, it’s worth it!!

> 3 dayHad my camera on my frig and saw a ungrateful teen leaving my fridge open and walking away leaving it open. This solved that situation. I would give it 10 stars.

> 3 dayAfter my toddler learned how to open the baby-proof refrigerator latch and was tall enough to do it without assistance, we were in trouble. He is very tall for his age, and as the third boy, is at least as stubborn as two young boys. He couldnt be trusted alone in the kitchen, and even if an adult was watching him, he would open the door and mayem would ensue. Perhaps I could have adjusted my thinking and decided that I LIKED having half a dozen eggs broken on my kitchen floor (or in other parts of the house), I could have joined in (Im sure that is a very satisfying crack, after all, and feeling the cool gooiness between my fingers...mmm), or I could have decided I just didnt CARE if he ate five cheese sticks at once, or turned the temperature up on the fridge and spoiled food, or climbed up in the shelves to flick the light on and off... But I hated the food waste, the clean-up, trying to reason with a toddler, and knowing that he WAS climbing inside the fridge creating a tipping hazard, I grew tired of washing dishes with one foot bracing the door shut. This is not a request for parenting advice. This is a lock review. I went ahead and ordered this thinking it was pretty funny that I was desperate enough to buy a padlock for my refrigerator. However, in many ways it has been a lifesaver. It is 100% toddler proof. IF someone remembers to lock the fridge, my toddler cannot open it. If hes tired and in a temper he can pull hard enough on the door to knock things off the top of the fridge (so far no tipping!), but he cant break the lock. My older boys know where we keep the key and have, once or twice, climbed up and gotten it to help themselves to something we told them they couldnt have, but it has cut down on unauthorized snacking, or meal spoiling. (I have a red-headed five-year-old--hes stubborn.) I snack less. As long as I try to keep pantry snacks reasonably healthy, it is often easier to grab an apple from the fruit basket than to rummage in the fridge and overeat. Well see if this leads to long-term weight loss or not now that Ive had the newest baby. The biggest drawback weve had is that were too lazy to separate the keys and pick a safer place for the extra one. This means that Ive almost dropped the key down the heat vent and once both keys went home in our babysitters pocket. She noticed and brought them back before I tried to get into the fridge. This is the only child-resistant item Ive purchased that has withstood all three of my older boys and weather such regular and frequent use. Im sure once they hit the teen years and eat even more than they do now (which is hard to imagine) I will be even happier with this. Now, to get a really annoying keychain reminding us to eat healthy...

> 3 dayThe refrigerator received a cleaning with an alcohol wipe. Installation was easy. Use is easier. The refrigerator is now locked securely when necessary. Highly recommend.
