Corel Painter Essentials 5 Digital Art Suite for PC and Mac (Old Version)

Girlfriend had a few minor issues with installation on her computer but after restarting the process from frustration it installed with little delay. My only complaint is the initial start up process but the program itself works exactly as expected. Good for beginners and intermediate artists.

Wished this would have worked for me, but I have switched to Windows 10 and is not designed for that programing.

The companies customer service is a joke. I got this for my wife for Christmas. Tried to install and it told me invalid code. Been dealing with customer service for over a week abd no results. They keep giving me solutions to issues not related with my ptoblem. I was really excited to see what my wife can do with this but I am very disappointed. Id give it a zero star but I cant.

Much like Adobes Elements programs have very full feature set from their big brother programs, but with a more user friendly user interface, Corel Painter Essentials 5 is the little brother of Corel Painter 2015.

Im still getting used to it, but I like it. I have no idea how people can make those awesome pictures with it though. You just cant buy talent and it sort of makes it look like you can.

Wrong Operating System.

Fantastic program. Interface a little it more complicated than PS 4...Still great to work with....and cheap!

My first disclaimer is that I am not any kind of an artist. I dont claim to be a technical expert. HOWEVER, I have - at this point - spent at least 12-15 hours learning how to use Corel Painter Essentials 5 software and have experimented with every feature possible.

I have used Corel Painter and Painter Essentials since 2008. My first experience was Painter Essentials 3 or 4 (bundled with my Wacom Intuos 3 graphics tablet). I used Painter X up until OSX Snow Leopard (10.6) ceased to run it (thank you for nothing Apple) and I upgraded my PC beyond 8GB of RAM. Since then, Ive been Painter-less and itching to get back into using it again. While other programs come close, Painter has the best simulation of oil and other natural media.

Does what I wanted it for. Converting photos into paintings. Excellent program for this purpose.
