Corel Painter Essentials 5 Digital Art Suite for PC and Mac (Old Version)

Im still getting used to it, but I like it. I have no idea how people can make those awesome pictures with it though. You just cant buy talent and it sort of makes it look like you can.

I have used Corel Painter and Painter Essentials since 2008. My first experience was Painter Essentials 3 or 4 (bundled with my Wacom Intuos 3 graphics tablet). I used Painter X up until OSX Snow Leopard (10.6) ceased to run it (thank you for nothing Apple) and I upgraded my PC beyond 8GB of RAM. Since then, Ive been Painter-less and itching to get back into using it again. While other programs come close, Painter has the best simulation of oil and other natural media.

I originally owned Painter essentials 4, and feel that 5 had really dropped the ball. A lot of features that were essential to 4 have been changed or disappeared entirely which is annoying and makes it very hard to work with. I will keep looking at tutorials to try and see if I could be wrong about them missing, but I dont have a ton of hope. Honestly, if your going to spend your money to draw, buy Painter 4 instead, it was a way better program.

Already have Corel Suite and this adds more effects to my tool box that are very interesting Worth the money.

So much better than the Paint app that comes with Windows 10! I love it!

Super sufficient for beginning digital artists. Loads of functions and a nice variety of tools.

Not a lot pot experience with program for comprehensive review. Offers many painting options and features. Im looking forward to learning.

Corel Essentials was a very good drawing program, but didnt quite meet my needs so I purchased Corel Painter 2016 and this program was exactly what I required
