These arent knockoffs, they obviously work (see photos of old and new) and I totally recommend. The only CON, if you want to call it a CON, is if you have allergies or burn wood during winter, Id replace them more often than whats recommended.

I was skeptical when Inpurchaded these filters. However, they arrived on time & fit perfectly. I will purchase these filters again.

This was easy to install but didn’t come with instructions so I looked them up on YouTube. The odor filter needed reset according to the light on my air purifier after about a week which was odd.

The good quality is obvious when you install these. They were sturdy and easy to install with directional tabs. Liked the fact it came with extra carbon odor absorption filters. Would highly recommend these

In September 2021, I ordered a spare filter, but ended up not needing it, as I was out of town much of the year. I finally opened it today (October 2022) and it smells like a chemical fire. I put it in the purifier anyway, hoping the smell would go away, but I got a terrible headache, so I removed the new filter and threw it in the trash. On the other hand, the new filter that arrived a week ago (September 2022) has no smell. Im hoping whatever supply chain issues Coway was having are over.

These fit as expected, and were in good condition. I cannot speak for anything else though, as I dont have a way of testing them. I can say it helped with my allergies when my sister brought her dog to my parents house for the holidays, but thats about it. The old filter was black, so I replaced it. Only issue is that they charge too much. They could sell them for less, but take advantage of the fact that there are fake filters out their that people have to worry about. I bought these even though there are cheaper version online, because nearly anything you find online will not actually be true HEPA. Part of the cost comes from certifications of the product. Cheaper versions dont have any certifications, and therefore dont necessarily meet the specifications you are looking for. Youd likely be better off just putting up a towel instead of buying a cheap knockoff filter honestly.

I initially purchased the Coway AP-1512 unit based on a strong recommendation from a well known online review source in May of 2020. The unit met my expectations well for a year. In May of 2021 it was time to replace the filter, which I did with a replacement that I purchased from Amazon in October of 2020. As soon as I turned the unit on I was met with a very strong smell akin to oil or some type of adhesive. To me, this was completely unacceptable so I contacted Coway directly and after a series of emails they agreed that this was a known issue and they kept some on hand at their office to send out to folks that were experiencing this. They kindly sent me one directly from their office after assuring me that it would be completely odorless just like the original that came with the unit... IT WAS NOT! I may have run the machine for a total of 30 seconds before my entire living room was filled with a horrible stench. I immediately turned it off and removed the filter and placed it outdoors and opened some windows. My girlfriend came over about a half hour later and asked why my house smelled like a machine shop. The odor did eventually dissipate but now Im stuck with a machine that I cant use unless I can find a reliable replacement filter. Im not sure what is going on with Coway but Amazon should really consider not making these available until the problem is seriously addressed. In the end, I would strongly urge anyone considering this filter to keep my and others experiences in mind.

I, like many others, was a bit apprehensive about buying the filter. Fortunately, the filter was perfectly fine when I got it. Put my nose right up to the filter, smelled like what Id expect a filter to smell like. All those reviewers either got fakes or a bad batch.

I have been waiting to order this for months since reading reviews of the smells with the filters. I finally purchased it when the price dropped and mine did NOT have a chemical smell to it. I am not sure if I just got lucky or if they have fixed the problem. I am very happy with this purchase, just wish they didn’t cost so much to begin with. I shouldn’t need to purchase any more for another year now.

Fits and works well. Chemical odor was initially present and faded over time.
