> 3 dayIt did seem odd that a filter that was described on the packaging thus: REDUCES Sediment Rust Scale Dirt Course Sand Sand and then would go on to state: This cellulose cartridge is not recommended for use with untreated well water. One could only wonder what was left to Treat. Called Culligan and a technical rep explained that the statement referencing untreated referred to treatment for bacteria. Apparently if there is bacteria in the water they love cellulose and can rapidly compromise the filter by digesting it. I suggested to the Culligan rep that they be a bit more explicit in their disclaimer and specifically reference treatment for bacteria.

> 3 dayFor the last 10 years, these filters definitely do the job they are supposed to do, especially the iron in my well water. Do NOT be stingy! Change your filters every two months as recommended and enjoy clear, clean water. Hey Culligan Man! ;-)

> 3 dayCheaper than the AquaPure filters that we used to use (they were $30 per filter). We have to replace these much sooner than the premium brand, but the price is worth it. Our water is super bad, so we try to replace filters at least 1 time per month or so.

> 3 dayWe use this at our home in the mountains. The well water is laden with iron and unless the water is filtered or run consistently, it is not usable. It serves its purpose. If we are only there for a couple days, we remove the filter and I hose each panel off to reuse again. This only works once before the filter paper degrades.

> 3 dayBought these vs the 50 Micron filters that came with our filter housing and can see a difference in the water. We are rural and have our own well with high iron content water, was hoping to get so we could drink and cook with tap water, and this makes it possible. I still tend to drink out of the water cooler, but for cooking and the pets I now use tap water... saves on the number of 5 gallon jugs I have to haul!!

> 3 dayI have a well and it is high in iron. I have to change it every 30 days. I have tried the others and they only last a day ot two. The stores around here no longer carry them, therefore I am very happy I was able to order them with Amazon.

> 3 dayGood filter for what is needed. Hot tip - if you are using filter for the house, dont panic if water squirts out the enclosure for a few seconds. The filter and enclosure seal once the enclosure has filled. I discovered this after almost an hour of frustration. Maybe Culligan could add some information like this to the packaging - the enclosure manufacturer makes no note of it!

> 3 dayWe have a dug we’ll. Recently we noticed a brownish quality in our water pitchers. Switched to this product and we can see the difference in our crystal clear water. We’ve had one in for about three weeks: still working. Great value for the money.
