> 3 daySince purchasing the Culligan P5 4 pack, Ive noticed a considerable decrease in length of use before having to replace over the last 6 months. Prior to that when I had purchased this Culligan P5 from Lowes, I was able to get about 2-3 months of use before replacement. The last filters from my previous 4 pack only lasted about 1 month each. This recent order came in different packaging with Standard Filtration rather than Premium filtration on the label. I called Culligans Customer Service and the agent told me Culligan does not sell 4 packs of this filter, only 2 packs. He did say that the packaging no longer says Premium, just Standard filtration for this specific filter. He warned that this was not an authentic product from Culligan. In the future I will purchase only the Culligan 2 packs even though theyre more expensive. The agent said Lowes no longer carries this filter, but Ace Hardware does. Will have to see if the 2 packs from Amazon last longer. Dont know yet.

> 3 dayCulligan is top notch rated when it comes to water filtration I purchased their whole house filter which in itself is exceptional because it has a bypass. This is One of two choices when we’re talking 5 µm filtration I purchased this to test out mesh versus string. No matter what the larger size is a must when you’re designing and building your own water purification system

> 3 dayThe filter is a genuine Culligan brand which is great. Whats not so great is the inadequate packaging it came in-an unpadded plastic bag. I sent the 1st one back as it was totally unusable. The replacement I received appears OK, but still has some dings and dents.

> 3 dayIm pretty happy with these filters they work great. I set them up as a subscribe & save so every 3 months I get one in the mail automatically that way I never have to remember when to replace it. In the summer when I run the sprinklers and fill up the pool I switch it to bi-monthly. Our water here in the SW suburbs of Chicago is very hard the filter seems to take quite a bit of it out. The advantages that we can see are less mineral deposits in the dishwasher. I have also noticed that the filters in our RO water system came out allot cleaner this last time so maybe Ill experiment with letting them go a little longer. 1 YEAR UPDATE so Ive been using them for almost a year. And I must say im still very happy with their performance. The subscribe and save price has gone up by a dollar and change but doesnt bother me enough to find a different filter. I have had NO instances of my unit falling apart, tearing or disolving so these other folks must just have terrible water or be leaving them in WAY too long! Drained my water heater about two months ago and not too much sediment came out unlike in past years so they are definitly helping. (when I replace the filter its completely covered in rust deposits and I mean COMPLETELY covered. Its amazing what this thing is catching!) Im keeping the 5 stars they are pretty cheap and work well so all in all I think its a pretty good value.

> 3 dayI have had this water filtration system for a few years but had trouble locally buying replacement filters. Decided to do a google search and found them the cheapest through Amazon with free shipping for orders over $25.00. Great deal and filters work fantastic. Love this whole house water filtration system and would highly recommend this product. Inexpensive to filter out some of the bad stuff found in city water.

> 3 dayI have a well and it is high in iron. I have to change it every 30 days. I have tried the others and they only last a day ot two. The stores around here no longer carry them, therefore I am very happy I was able to order them with Amazon.

> 3 dayIt did seem odd that a filter that was described on the packaging thus: REDUCES Sediment Rust Scale Dirt Course Sand Sand and then would go on to state: This cellulose cartridge is not recommended for use with untreated well water. One could only wonder what was left to Treat. Called Culligan and a technical rep explained that the statement referencing untreated referred to treatment for bacteria. Apparently if there is bacteria in the water they love cellulose and can rapidly compromise the filter by digesting it. I suggested to the Culligan rep that they be a bit more explicit in their disclaimer and specifically reference treatment for bacteria.
