> 3 dayI have Boston area water. I grew up here and always believed the water is fine.. Well when I bought my house 20+ years ago the unit came with the house. every 30 to 90 days I have to replace the filter and everyone i tell to get one of these simple units just does not believe me. My filters are clogged with little tiny particles that otherwise I would be drinking... How does the commercial go: Thank You Culligan Man! - Its what you cant see that these filters catch... which means they are working...

> 3 dayI buy a box of 14 every year for my well. They work great to keep the iron and stuff out of my water supply. We dont drink the well water due to the mineral content but we use the water for everything else. I gave 0 stars for flavor because we dont drink it, not because it doesnt work.

> 3 dayOur home water is supplied by a personal well that unfortunately comes with some brownish sediment that discolors the water and makes it taste a little too much like minerals. Completely harmless, but not very pretty, especially for company. Previously I had been looking into expensive water softeners or whole house filters in the $200+ range. Thankfully I found the little culligan whole house filter for $32 and this two pack of 20 micron filters for another $7 (so cheap!). Its been a week now, water is crystal clear. I like that I can see the filter through the casing, currently it has a light brown tinge so I know its working. Since the water has been so clear I think Ill be sticking with the cheaper and longer lasting 20 micron filters, theyre supposed to last 4 months or 16,000 gallons, putting my total filtration costs at a cool ~$12 a year, far cheaper than my initial expectations when looking into larger carbon filters or water softeners. I couldnt be happier!

> 3 dayYou do not get the ones pictured which I have used for over 15 years. the original ones lasted two months. the universal fit ones I got only last about two weeks and then they turn brown and start to disintegrate. They say Culligan but in my opinion they are after market items of inferior quality. I contacted Amazon and I was told they would check into it. They were on my subscribe and save list, but I dont believe I want to continue getting them. I am checking locally for this item. Update: I contacted Culligan today and spoke with a very nice man. He gave me valuable information regarding filter performance. I mentioned that the filters I received did not look like the one pictured that states made in USA. I forwarded photos of the ones I have and he said he would check Amazon reviews and forward the information to the appropriate party. The ones I got are made in China and said they were universal filters. They had the Culligan name on the package. I sincerely hope we get back the ones made in the USA.
