Greater than one weekNow, this is somewhere between novice and intermediate skill-level. Even though I have been using this (and many other comparable) this program for years (and years), I can still put myself into a newbies shoes and see how intuitive and exciting this would be. I cannot even find areas that could be frustrating or a mystery. This software is extremely forgiving and very welcoming to all of all skill-levels. (And, it has so many playful options, that it is perfect for teens in encouraging creativity).

Greater than one weekMakes organizing thousands of images easy. Uploaded over 27,000 from my archives and expect to add several times that with my new camera. Appreciated the different flagging options which enables rapid location of theme-specific images. Have yet to use the face recognition features, one of the main reasons for purchasing this software. While it took over 8 hours to export 611 images for one project, the process was flawless. No chance to use the more advanced image editing features yet. Not quite top end for that from the description . . . but then neither are my needs; should be more-than-adequate for 98% of my needs. Happy camper so far.

19-04-2025I have played with many photo editing software programs over the years. This one is fairly straight forward and fairly easy to use. I had to hunt and peck for awhile as I was new to its layout. But, overall after you see the breakdown, etc. it is not too hard to navigate. It does have some powerful abilities, but in my opinion not as powerful as photoshop. Although, it does allow layers to be built and merged which is similar to photoshop. I did not see a quick way to control each layers transparency etc. as I am accustomed to in Photoshop. I originally opened the program with a photo to edit and simply wanted to flip it horizontally. I looked for a long time and only found a way to rotate it. Which is not the same at all. While continuing to feel my way around in the program, I ended up importing another pic and then discovered that via layers, you could flip the pic. It will take a bit more exploring and learning the programs abilities to get the entire ease of its use - but overall it does seem to be a strong and solid editing program for its price range.

> 3 dayThe PhotoDirector 7 Ultra offers many features that I have found very useful in curating various photo heavy accounts. The ability to cut and color correct, as well as prosaic stuff like adding watermarks simply and easily are great features. And there are so many features in this program, I could spend many more months discovering them. Unfortunately, Ill have to do just that: discover through trial and error, because the documentation for this program is confusing and sparse. I also find the interface to be counter-intuitive and often frustrating.

> 3 dayI recently purchased this software as the free version I had did not do too much and I wanted to make a nice slideshow of my photos. After upgrading I found the slideshow part of this software doesnt really have an upgrade. It wont even let you put more than one song in the background! So hopefully all of your slideshows are only 3 minutes long or youre screwed like me. Dont purchase this if you intend on using that specific tool!

> 3 dayVery disappointed given the ratings the software enjoys. My major complaint was that you can only download a single folder at a time. I have nearly 10,000 photos over 127 folders. I was dumbfounded to find I couldnt select all the folders at once. Even a small folder took considerable time to download. To download them all would have taken hours if not days. Because of this issue I did not get to check out all the other features. I downloaded a 30 day trial which was a wise decision. Other interested buyers should do the same.

> 3 dayIve been an avid user of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for a few years now but decided to take this opportunity to try Cyberlink PhotoDirector 7 Ultra. I must say, Im very impressed. I was a bit worried that I would have to learn a new layout as well as manage a new workflow and that was definitely not the case.
