Darn Tough Mens Hiker Merino Wool Micro Crew Socks Cushion

Good everyday sock for my use but I prefer a thicker sock for trail use.

The size difference between sock styles is disappointing. This sock does not fit the same as the other Darn Tough XL socks I purchased in the same order. Purchased an XL for my 13 narrow feet but the sock heel cup sits towards the back of my arch between the start of my heel and end of my arch. This problem is made worse by the sock slipping down my leg to compensated for the shortness of the sock. I had better fit on Warlock Crew. I also had size variation between two pairs of the Wool Boot Sock Full Cushion. Please see style/prodcut specific reviews on other Darn Tough socks. Made in America is a big plus for the brand as is their use of high quality materials. Unfortunately, fit is not consistent between products.

I have a few pairs of these that I wear frequently. Besides some barely noticeable pilling, they are indistinguishable from the day I bought them. This after months of wear in a variety of boots, and tumbles through the washer and dryer. Ive noticed that the sizing is somewhat inconsistent. I purchased the same size socks on separate occasions, with one fitting perfectly, and the other feeling just a bit snug. I thought the snugness would lessen after frequent wear, but it hasnt. Thats a testament to the quality of construction, but also a cautionary remark: if the socks dont fit when you get them, they probably never will.

Although these have a lifetime warranty, rip um, get a hole in em, what ever and you get a new pair.... I still have like 6 pairs of these socks. These are nice and thin for your summer trips. Love these things.

I took these socks on a hike today and they were quite comfortable. Extra thick on the bottom, and soft. I have never had wool socks before so I cant really compare them to anything else but so far I love them!

Best socks you will ever own. The socks are expensive but indestructible.

These are wool socks that do not turn into floppy amorphous fiber blobs after wearing and washing a few dozen times. They do all the nifty things they are supposed to do. They are expensive, but they are worth it. People will envy your socks when their cheap socks fall off their feet after a dozen washings and a couple hundred miles.
