> 3 dayI bought this to use when traveling with solely a “personal item” (under the seat in front of you). I have used this on United, Spirit, Southwest, and Frontier, and it has fit under the seat in front of me for all of them (but it’s a little bit of a squeeze if you packed it completely full.) Was worth the price for me.

> 3 dayIn the name of being cheap and avoiding airline baggage fees, I bought 3 of these bags. They were easy to carry as a backpack- although you can hold it like a suitcase but not preference. The bag can hold a lot of clothes!! I laid the clothes flat instead of rolled or folded, my oldest child folded clothes nicely and my 12 years just stuffed clothes haphazardly. We did 3 weeks of travel (each with 1 bag). My bag was probably packed too much which made it heavier but that was due to all of my clothes :). We have used the bags about 3 times for airline travels as carryons in the span of a 5-6 weeks and it has been so much easier when navigating our travel. I appreciate the pockets and compartments as well as the straps that can be tighten when worn as a backpack. I think you will be surprised about the capacity and the bag itself might be bigger than you anticipate.

> 3 dayI have to leave a review, almost 6 months later, because of how this product has been one of the best I made this year. Honestly, I’m a pretty heavy packer but this backpack seems to do it for me every time if I’m staying somewhere for a week or two. It fits my very chunky 17” gaming laptop, multiple sweaters, shirts, pants, and shorts. I’ve taken this backpack with me on a dozen or so trips and I’ve had no problems with it. I was wary of the durability because of some reviews, but haven’t had any problems considering how heavy it tends to end up being after packing. Most importantly, I’ve taken it with me on every flight with another suitcase carry-on, and had no problems getting it through security. Sometimes I pack it so full it doesn’t entirely fit under the seat in front of me, but it doesn’t cause a problem since I’m able to get most of the bag under there.

> 3 dayTook this on a trip to Italy. Great carry on backpack, but too large for walking tours in Italy.

> 3 dayIm 52 and this 17 pack fits perfectly. It weighs ~4 lbs empty which seems fairly standard for this style backpack. The features I wanted were a sideopening (like a suitcase) a pocket to store the shoulder straps(in case I have to check it) and a pocket for my Ipad. In addition, this pack also has some smaller outside pockets for passport, cellphone, anything you may need to access easily. It has an adjustable holder for a water bottle with an additional strap to secure it. It also has straps to cinch the backpack tighter to decrease the fullness.A previous contributer commented that it would be better for the smaller ouside pockets to be against your back so they couldnt be accessed by pickpockets. I dont disagree but I always use a travel waist belt for my important papers so thats not an issue for me. I was looking for a backpack with a waist belt also but that typically adds another 40.00 to the cost. This backpack doesnt really shift too much when I bend over so it wasnt worth the extra expense. Im only using it in airports. If I planned to go hiking I would have looked for a much different backpack. I packed a poncho, sweatshirt, 5 pair of slacks, 7 tops, personal items, brush, ipad, essentially enough for 1+ week and had additinal space left to pack more. The stitching and zippers look like they will hold up well with heavy use. Overall, this is the pack I plan to use for a 3 week vacation next spring. Great price and well constructed. Since I havent used it yet I only gave it 4 stars but I have no doubts it will earn 5 once I travel with it. Update 3/2023 Just traveled to Cancun from North Carolina. I was able to pack enough for a week without difficulty. Some of the things I realized... I could not use the water bottle holder if I cinched the bag to make the depth smaller; theres a key holder on the inside pocket and this was great. One of the pockets on the inside was waterproof. My pack weighed 14 pounds total once I had it fully packed. Im 68 and my husband is 78 and we had no difficulty getting the pack on or walking long distances with it. The weight on our shoulders were evenly distributed and very comfortable. I absolutely loved the pocket to tuck the straps into. This feature was handy when I chose to carry the pack instead of wearing it. The small front pocket was perfect for our 1 quart liquid bag and was easily accesses.Overall I was very pleased with all the features. I will use it as a carryon for my 3 week trip to Europe since I plan to bring back gifts and will be checking a bag. I highly recommend this backpack based on its functionality and excellent price.

> 3 dayIf you don’t mind jingly zippers this is a great bag. It has good sturdy zippers with metal pulls which constantly clink against the metal bit that brings the zipper teeth together. Had to make some modifications to tone it down a bit.

> 3 dayI typically fly Southwest so I usually bring a giant bag to check. With lots of flights being canceled recently, I wanted to only do carry on bags to avoid my luggage going missing or delayed. My travel is mostly for skydiving events so my parachute rig takes up my allotted overhead bin space. I also need to bring a helmet, jump suit, and other gear. My helmet is fairly bulky so finding a backpack that would fit under the seat, hold my gear, and a few days of clothes was difficult. This bag is perfect! And all the pockets is an added bonus. Durability and sturdiness are unknown at this time but it seems well built.
