> 24 hourMy kiddo who’s not even 2 yet has learnt the art of unlocking doors and then opening them. After finding numerous toys in the garage on a daily basis, I was finally frustrated enough to buy this. It works beautifully. Installation took seconds. Will highly recommend!

> 24 hourI purchased this product to keep my toddler from turning on and off the water. It did NOT work for that, but isn’t designed to. I use it on a couple of doors now and it works great. Adhesion is great even after I attempted to use it in a wet bathroom setting. If BOTH of the little bars are blocking the door lever, then anyone on the other side of the door is locked out. But that is easily avoided by putting only the bottom bar out; that keeps my 18month old from opening the door but someone on the other side of the door can lift the lever UP and open the door. This solution may not last as he gets older. Pros: Easy to install, great adhesion, my 5 year old is able to work it if needed, for now, we don’t have to remember to move the little bars every time we open the door; just keep the bottom bar out and lift the door handle. Cons: if you need to have both bars out to prevent your toddler from using door (i.e. if toddler is able to lift the handle as well as pulling it down) then have to 1. Move at least one bar EVERY time you use a door (this includes remembering to put bar back in place when you’re done) 2. You have to be extra aware not to someone on the opposite side of the door. As I said, For now we are fine with just the bottom bar out so we don’t have to worry about the cons above. Also; not sure if there is a lever child lock that avoids those problems completely.

> 24 hourOMG, I cant believe how great these are. We have French Doors going to the outside of our home. The kind where both panels can be opened and you have a 6 opening to the outside. But to re-close and lock them you have to pull both sets of handles up to engage the bolts at top and bottom. Most of the time, you only open the active panel to exit and enter, and leave the passive panel alone with the bolts still engaged up and down. For the 11 years weve owned our home, guests and relatives have flunked the intelligence test :-) of which handle to open, and then for locking both doors to make the house secure. I cant tell you the number of times weve come home and both doors were wide open because someone didnt lock the passive panel properly, and the wind pushed both doors open. We literally thought we were going to vote some of our friends, and some of our kids, off the island... And because the doors were blown open, we were either trying to air condition the world in summer, or heat the world in winter - both are very expensive - and we got so many bugs inside... We used these child proof lock to secure the handle on the passive door panel so people wont try to open that door (see the attached picture). Problem solved - for less than $13 bucks. Amazing. Phenomenal. Awesome. We absolutely love them. These are STURDY, too. Solid. Worth every penny. Worth twice the price.

> 24 hourBought it to keep our toddler from opening the door to the top of the basement stairs. So far it’s great and not inconvenient when we need to go into the basement.

> 24 hourIve had these for about 10 months. Up until today I loved them. Theyve been sturdy and kept my toddler from getting in rooms he shouldnt. I only keep the bottom lock engaged as my toddler hasnt been able to open the lever handle upwards. Well today I accidently engaged both sides and locked myself in the nursery...luckily my son was in the room with me. I put him in his crib for bed and when I went to leave noticed I couldnt get out. I had to jump out the window and come back in through my front door. I was really hoping the plastic was as cheap as others said so I could just break it and get out but after a few fairly rough attempts at opening the door I had to resort to the window. Now imagine that happening with your toddler outside the room or in say a bathroom with no windows...

> 24 hourThis lock is amazing! I have a 3 year who is devilishly smart and found a way to open the door while the chain high above is in place while waiting for the this new lock to arrive. Our old lock from Lowe’s (only place near me I could find a latch lock) failed. The old one required me to remove the door handle to place the lock which caused all kinds of malfunctions with the physical door itself. It would either pop open or not open at all causing us to be locked inside. After maintenance had to replace the handle twice I knew I needed a better option. Best lock for this handle type I have purchased thus far. It’s super easy to apply and it works perfectly even though I put it on backwards by accident. When I stuck it to the door I even wiggled it around using significant force to check durability (my toddler can be a mini hulk at times), this device is rock solid! My peace of mind is restored while doing simple things like cooking or going to the bathroom knowing that even though I can check on him every few minutes (it only takes a second for them to run and open a door) this curious little boy can’t escape. It works so well he doesn’t even try anymore after having this for about 3 months now.

> 24 hourI didn’t even take these out of the package because as soon as I looked at it I realized this will only work if you have individually moving door handles, which I do not. You will not be able to open the door from the other side while this mechanism is in place. It’s a great idea and I wish I could have used it. Idk if there already is something on this to hold it down but at the very least there should be a way to “disarm” this for when you leave the house, like make it to where it doesn’t block the handle so you can get back in at LEAST.

> 24 hour1.5yr old can’t open the door by pulling down but we still can by just lifting up. We just leave the top uncovered.

> 24 hourUsually some products the tape side does not stick well but this one does. It helps keep our toddler save. We love it
