> 3 dayOMG, I cant believe how great these are. We have French Doors going to the outside of our home. The kind where both panels can be opened and you have a 6 opening to the outside. But to re-close and lock them you have to pull both sets of handles up to engage the bolts at top and bottom. Most of the time, you only open the active panel to exit and enter, and leave the passive panel alone with the bolts still engaged up and down. For the 11 years weve owned our home, guests and relatives have flunked the intelligence test :-) of which handle to open, and then for locking both doors to make the house secure. I cant tell you the number of times weve come home and both doors were wide open because someone didnt lock the passive panel properly, and the wind pushed both doors open. We literally thought we were going to vote some of our friends, and some of our kids, off the island... And because the doors were blown open, we were either trying to air condition the world in summer, or heat the world in winter - both are very expensive - and we got so many bugs inside... We used these child proof lock to secure the handle on the passive door panel so people wont try to open that door (see the attached picture). Problem solved - for less than $13 bucks. Amazing. Phenomenal. Awesome. We absolutely love them. These are STURDY, too. Solid. Worth every penny. Worth twice the price.

> 3 dayThis is the only thing that has kept my toddlers from opening doors. Best thing about it is that if you only latch the bottom, you can still open the door by lifting the handle upward. So toddlers stay up while adults can still go in and out the door easily. That is until they get tall enough to be able to also lift the handle upward. But that’s a problem for another day. Highly recommend.

Greater than one weekClever new family dog figured out how to push down the door handle to unlock and open our apartment door. He did it when we left, so we needed a lock to set as we were leaving. This was 100% the solution! Quality, sturdy plastic and strong adhesive—doesn’t come off with a 50-lb. dog pawing on it. I imagine it would be super effective against escaping children as most of our adult guests can’t figure out how to open it (but it’s fun to watch them try ;-)

> 3 dayDefinitely recommend this product. Especially if you have a toddler. It’s very easy to install. It’s hasn’t came off and we’re going on 5 months.

> 3 dayI like this lock because it’s on top and bottom of the handle. My kid watches me undo it and he can’t seem to get it because it’s tight which is great.

> 3 dayMy assumption when I bought it was that you had to press both the top and bottom buttons at the same time and both arms would fold out of the way together. My 3 year old would not be able to squeeze the top and bottom buttons at the same time. But the actual design is that you only have to push on one button and that one arm can then swing, meaning the 3 year old can mash her thumb on the button and unlock it. The adhesive installation is easy, but easy to install is hardly a benefit if it doesnt actually serve its purpose.

> 3 dayThese work ok. My door panels are I guess youd say concave close to door handle. I make them work but can only work if I lift handle up instead of down. It gets the job done for now until my 21 month old grandson figures it out!

> 3 dayToddler got to an age where they were able to open these lever-handled doors. This handle lock kept them inside, and I am so grateful. We are in a rental where there is no deadbolt, and there’s only 1 lock on the front door, which the child can turn as well. We’ve found him outside on two occasions, and that was scary! I thought I had left the door unlocked and opened accidentally the first time, and when it happened again, I realized he had figured out how to unlock and turn the handle! Needless to say I was scared out of my mind that he could escape that fast, and this has helped immensely. I no longer have to worry that he’s in an area where he shouldn’t be. Also installed on for the garage door, which he is always trying to get into. My only request is that there is a three pack, because 2 probably is not enough (ideally) if you have small kids. Easy to install, and you can flip it either direction depending on your door handle design, so play around with it before taking that adhesive off!
