> 24 hourThis lock is amazing! I have a 3 year who is devilishly smart and found a way to open the door while the chain high above is in place while waiting for the this new lock to arrive. Our old lock from Lowe’s (only place near me I could find a latch lock) failed. The old one required me to remove the door handle to place the lock which caused all kinds of malfunctions with the physical door itself. It would either pop open or not open at all causing us to be locked inside. After maintenance had to replace the handle twice I knew I needed a better option. Best lock for this handle type I have purchased thus far. It’s super easy to apply and it works perfectly even though I put it on backwards by accident. When I stuck it to the door I even wiggled it around using significant force to check durability (my toddler can be a mini hulk at times), this device is rock solid! My peace of mind is restored while doing simple things like cooking or going to the bathroom knowing that even though I can check on him every few minutes (it only takes a second for them to run and open a door) this curious little boy can’t escape. It works so well he doesn’t even try anymore after having this for about 3 months now.

> 24 hourI was frustrated whenever i’m in my room and my little brothers barged in while i was focusing on my work. I’ve tried many different door jammers from a steel bar jammer to a portable door lock. The problem with my door is that the lock can be opened with just a coin and i’m not planning on changing the locks. And whenever i jammed the door with those stuff, they would still be able to turn the knob and take a little peek inside. Once i got this product and installed it, they can’t even turn the knob. I’m so happy with this purchase and I’ll put more around the house especially in the bathroom since they like to barge in while someone is in the shower.

> 24 hourThese were simple to install and effective, but our toddler figured them out in less than a week.

> 24 hourI didn’t even take these out of the package because as soon as I looked at it I realized this will only work if you have individually moving door handles, which I do not. You will not be able to open the door from the other side while this mechanism is in place. It’s a great idea and I wish I could have used it. Idk if there already is something on this to hold it down but at the very least there should be a way to “disarm” this for when you leave the house, like make it to where it doesn’t block the handle so you can get back in at LEAST.

> 24 hourLong story here, but our front door has a lever door handle and no deadbolt. My two year old figured this out a few months ago and has been escaping the house and heading toward the street. No more! This lever lock is great because my older child can lift the handle up while the younger one cant reach it, so it works for everyone. I didnt think I would care that the top and bottom pieces swivel separately, but it turns out to be the best part.

> 24 hourWe have an Australian Shepherd who is too smart for her own good. She figured out how to open the lever style doorknobs in our house. The one door that was a big problem for us was the door to our garage. If we left the house for a time, she would go looking for us in the garage, leaving the door open to any critters and bugs that wanted to come in, and allowing her to go explore the neighborhood as we opened the garage door while pulling up to the house. We had been putting step stools or laundry drying racks in front of the door to block her from getting to the door handle, but this was annoying to have to remember and blocked the door when we got home. I placed one of these door locks on the outside handle of the garage. Now when we leave, we just activate the lock and she cannot escape. If we are working out in the yard or garage, we only activate the lower lock, because she hasnt yet figured out she can lift the handle to open the door, so this allows the door to still be used by people while keeping her inside. We are very happy with this product for this purpose.
