I bought these so my toddler couldn’t open the door, they stick pretty good and are hard enough that a toddler can’t open them but not hard for an adult.

I have a cat that is smart enough to open our doors. I didn’t mind it much since I was leaving most doors open anyways, but with a baby on the way I wanted to keep the cats out of our bedroom and the nursery and she constantly opened the door to the garage which was really annoying. I was worried about how these would work because the levers on our doors go down on both sides when you open the door, so I thought we might not be able to use it on the garage or while we were in the bedroom, but we just leave the stopper under the handle out and the one above the handle open so that she can’t pull the lever down but we can pull it up to open the door. It’s been perfect for us

1.5yr old can’t open the door by pulling down but we still can by just lifting up. We just leave the top uncovered.

Love these! And love the price for a 2 pack! They keep my baby from opening doors he shouldn’t and don’t keep me from easily opening them up. I don’t see him defeating this childproofing lock anytime soon. He would have to be a few inches taller and it would take a much older child than 2 to have the strength to open it if he even could figure out how. The dual button feature is why this product stands out from the rest. I feel he is safe from entering rooms he shouldn’t without me with this product. Very satisfied and have been planning on purchasing one or two more of these 2 packs to secure other rooms once the baby gate comes down! Looking forward to it! These are great. Ive had these for about 10 months. Up until today I loved them. Theyve been sturdy and kept my toddler from getting in rooms he shouldnt. I only keep the bottom lock engaged as my toddler hasnt been able to open the lever handle upwards. Well today I accidently engaged both sides and locked myself in the nursery...luckily my son was in the room with me. I put him in his crib for bed and when I went to leave noticed I couldnt get out. I had to jump out the window and come back in through my front door. I was really hoping the plastic was as cheap as others said so I could just break it and get out but after a few fairly rough attempts at opening the door I had to resort to the window. Now imagine that happening with your toddler outside the room or in say a bathroom with no windows...

Bought it to keep our toddler from opening the door to the top of the basement stairs. So far it’s great and not inconvenient when we need to go into the basement.
