> 24 hourMachining brass these work great. These taps do not list the H value for pitch size, example H1 is .0005 inch over nominal pitch diameter each value add .0005 inch. Most taps are made at a H2 or H3 value. These seem to be H3 work very nice and you cant beat the price. These are 4 flute, hand taps, tapping block is recommended, get any tap sideways and good bye tap. The shank diameter is above the minor diameter so thru tapping past the end of thread is not possible, you would need a special taps for that, this is not it. Nice tap set great for hobby work, professionals dont guess at pitch sizes.

> 24 hourI needed a reverse tap to adapt a weed cutter to work with fixed blade modification that replaces the string assembly. The kit used a 3/8 reverse bolt to attached the blades. Once I received the tap, I was able to cut threads required by the bolt. Worked out well. Have used the weed cutter several times and the bolt has not come loose.

> 24 hourThese taps were marked HSS and 12-24. There were no other markings for either manufacturer or country of origin on either the taps or the packaging. Are they counterfeit? Who knows? The good news is that they do have the correct pitch and diameter and at least cut in soft metals. These are quite inexpensive taps, so this is probably a reasonable deal for incidental use. They worked fine for the thread cleanup that I have done, but I would probably not use them in production.

> 24 hourThe tap set (I ordered #8-32 3-piece set) arrived promptly. It was nicely packaged and appeared to be of good quality. The cutting surfaces were sharp, and the taps nicely finished. I used them to tap several blind holes in brass, and they worked just fine. Other reviewers have complained that they are flimsy and not durable, but I certainly didnt observe that. They seem just like any other tap I have used in the past. Id definitely recommend them.

> 24 hourI used this set to tap threads into a 1 deep hole that bottomed out in a piece of stainless steel. Used all three taps starting with the taper and ending with the bottom tap. All three cut through the hard stainless steel with relative ease and achieved smooth threads all the way to the very end of the hole. So far have done just the one hole and taps look pristine and ready for more. The plastic case they come in is also handy for storage.

> 24 hourApparently there QC is not very astute. The tap packaging was labeled as 1/2-20, however the actual taps in the package. Well they were 1/2-13. Verify the actual item matches the package label, that is the lesson to learn from this.
