Small taps need to be high quality and these are. Good value too.

Nicely made taps, but not a set of 1 each of taper, plug, and bottoming taps as described. Replacement set the same so did not bother to return replacement set.

The tap set (I ordered #8-32 3-piece set) arrived promptly. It was nicely packaged and appeared to be of good quality. The cutting surfaces were sharp, and the taps nicely finished. I used them to tap several blind holes in brass, and they worked just fine. Other reviewers have complained that they are flimsy and not durable, but I certainly didnt observe that. They seem just like any other tap I have used in the past. Id definitely recommend them.

I have bought products from this company before and have been satisfied with their products. With this product the diameter of the shanks was pictured as the minor thread diameter. The set arrived and the diameter of the shanks was the major diameter of the threads. This means that you cannot tap a deeper hole than the cutting length of the tap. This was contrary to Top Dogs question that was answered in 2020: Q: are the 1/4-20 taps like the web page picture, or like the customeer picture. Had no problem tapping a through hole in stainless steel. Use lots of oil (even cooking oil is OK).

All three styles of taps are included in this purchase.

I used grade 8 bolts into schedule 40 pipe after drilling and tapping. The tap started and cleaned easy.

Great addition for the hobbyist, starting and bottoming taps included.
