Greater than one weekI bought the set to chase some threads and finish threads in a blind hole. They worked great and cut new threads easily. I only used the taps for one hole, but they are still sharp and show no signs of damage.

> 3 dayI was able to tap into a harden shaft with this. Did it very slowly and a lot of cutting fluid.

> 3 dayThis is not a set. It is only one item. Pictures are very misleading.

Greater than one weekPackage arrived, but not as described. A sleeve sized for one tap was labeled for a set. Only the taper tap was in the sleeve. Processed a return Some other sizes ordered were OK.

> 3 dayThe cheap sets you get at mass retailers are okay, but theres no substitute for having a taper tap, a regular tap, and a bottoming tap all in the same size for some jobs, and the cheap sets you see usually only have regular taps. I still use my cheap taps, but when Im, working on something special like a steam engine kit, I order up one of these sets in each size Im going to need.

06-06-2025These taps were much easier to use than I had expected, not having tapped anything before. Although its not likely Ill use them often, if ever again, Im completely satisfied.

Greater than one weekThe tap set (I ordered #8-32 3-piece set) arrived promptly. It was nicely packaged and appeared to be of good quality. The cutting surfaces were sharp, and the taps nicely finished. I used them to tap several blind holes in brass, and they worked just fine. Other reviewers have complained that they are flimsy and not durable, but I certainly didnt observe that. They seem just like any other tap I have used in the past. Id definitely recommend them.

> 3 dayI needed a tap that would thread deeper than the shank. The ones in the illustration would do that. The 1/4-20 taps that were delivered will not. That said, these taps are nicely made and should work well for a lot of applications.
