This is the BEST floss and I’ve tried many, many kinds (including Cocofloss). Works for tights spots and large spots. I don’t particularly like the cardamom flavor, but it is pretty faint. The issue, as many have already written about, is the new cardboard packaging, which is larger, more cumbersome, and much more delicate than the old plastic packaging. I appreciate the intent, but using paper to package something that is likely to get wet is not a great idea. If I can find an old plastic container, I plan to try to “refill” it, as suggested by another reviewer. In the meantime, I have left a comment on the manufacturer’s site and I encourage others to do the same! I hope they come out with easily refillable non-paper packaging instead.

Love the product - HATE THE PACKAGING!! I mean seriously - a thin (!) cardboard container in a bathroom! Bathroom counters get wet - it’s inevitable so you have to make a concentrated effort to keep this in a dry place!

So glad to have Dr. Ts in paper packaging!! It doesn’t taste the greatest, but feels wonderful on my gums. Love it!!!

This is the best dental floss I have found to scrub the plaque off the teeth. I was using the Glide dental floss for years, but my new dental hygienist told me it slides over rather than really getting the plaque off as she vigorously picked the tarter on my teeth. Since I have been using the Dr. Tung dental floss, the hygienist complimented me on how good my teeth looked in terms of tarter build up and her scraping was a lot faster this time. I also asked for tips on better flossing. You are supposed to slide the floss down along the side of one tooth and a little under the gum line and then over to the other tooth and down close to the gum line and back up the other tooth. For many years, I though just sliding the floss down between my teeth was enough. I have a gap between crowns, and sometimes I have to use this floss a few times to get all the food out. For tight teeth, sometimes, the strands can unravel but for the most part they dont break and get stuck like the Reach scrubby kind (the plastic one that can break off between your teeth). People have complained about the cardboard packaging, and it getting wet and disintegrating. I try to keep the cardboard box in a little basket above the sink or far enough away that it does not get wet. I have kept the old Dr. Tung plastic dispenser in case I need it.

This expandable floss was recommended by my hygienist 4+ years ago and I have used it faithfully every since. Gently gets the gunk out between teeth and I like the soft cinnamon like flavor. Dr Tung’s floss gets the job done. No bleeding when I floss and it easy to place and glide the floss between teeth. Thanks for less packaging. More floss fits in a medicine cabinet, purse, etc. This floss works well!

Its no longer in the usual dental floss container but in a paper envelope. It makes a lot of sense for them not to use plastic, but I guess I thought there was a sort of plastic material in existence that is biodegradable. If there is, it would work better with that - but if not, then I guess a paper envelope is the way to go and works well enough!
