I was introduced to flossing 45 years ago by a renowned dentist. He clearly stated that effective floss MUST SHRED to some extent in order to scrape away plaque from between the teeth. I dont understand all of these waxed and shred-resistant floss that have gained popularity. They just dont work in terms of plaque removal. Yea, maybe they remove small bits of food, but that is the least that floss should be doing. Sorry, this floss is just like all the others - they dont scrape between teeth. Ill stick to POH floss [which regrettably is not as good as it used to be].

This floss is thicker than most and softer. If you have a gap in your teeth that traps food regular floss won’t cut it. This floss gets food all out and doesn’t hurt your gums while you are flossing. I dislike the paper disperser compared to the plastic version. It’s weak and harder to tear each piece of floss.

Effective floss but durability of cardboard case remains to be seen.

I was trying to find a woven floss after discovering Johnson and Johnson gentle gum care floss was discontinued. I think I may actually end up liking this brand better. Ive used it once so far and wanted to review first impressions. I have a bridge, and crooked teeth and did not have issues with shredding. Albeit this is not usually an issue I generally ever have, except for between two particular teeth. It didnt hurt my fingers, it didnt hurt any of my gums, and it was thick enough for me to feel like my bridge was being cleaned. I feel like I needed less floss to clean my entire mouth. I usually need two things of floss, 1 for top, 1 for bottom. The paper dispenser is kinda weird, and at first I thought it was broken because the floss wasnt pulling out, but its ok. One thing is that the smell is really bad. I have no idea what cardamom flavor is, but it does not smell good. It smells like some sort of forest scent. The scent didnt really affect flavor, though. To me it was flavorless. Overall I would recommend this because my gums dont feel sore after flossing (even after flossing regularly), but if there are other flavors available I would recommend trying those instead. Edit: 4.22.23 - After using this for 2.5 months, I like the floss overall. I feel like it cleans my teeth really well and much better than GUM/Kroger waxed or Oral B Glide comfort plus floss. This floss really does pick up plaque or food bits that are stuck in between my teeth and i feel like some other flosses just arent capable of atually getting all/any of the gunk out (looking at you Oral B Glide comfort plus floss). Other flosses have irritated and made the gums of my bridge bleed, Dr. Tungs doesnt do that & feels comfortable to use in that area. :) Ive gotten used to the cardamom smell and it doesnt really bother me anymore, i barely notice it. i guess it was just a very new scent to me that I never experienced before but Im used to it now. I just wish they had other flavors/scents like cinnamon. They have lemongrass, but that does not seem appealing scent wise.

I use the floss for a different purpose than flossing. I like the fact that it is not slippery so that I can make a knot. I feel confident using it due to lack of harmful ingredients.

Our family favorite floss. It’s kinda expensive tho. But does a good job.

I dont usually leave reviews, but I have to say, this floss deserves it! Its the best Ive ever used. I was using the slide kind and always felt like it wasnt getting everything. After one use of this, my teeth felt like I just left the dentist from a cleaning. And I love the fact that its not in a plastic container.

Love the product - HATE THE PACKAGING!! I mean seriously - a thin (!) cardboard container in a bathroom! Bathroom counters get wet - it’s inevitable so you have to make a concentrated effort to keep this in a dry place!

As many reviewers stated in April 2023 reviews, the packaging was changed from a hard plastic dispenser to paper. If youre careful with the cutting tool at the top of the paper dispenser, the cutting tool works just fine. I have a scissors in the bathroom anyway for cutting packaging so its nothing to cut the floss to the desired length if need be. The floss is still quality. While itd be really nice to have the hard plastic dispenser again, or perhaps a little cheaper cost with the paper dispenser, the floss is worth buying. Unprompted Amazon refunded my entire purchase which I dont feel was/is necessary. 4 Stars for the paper dispenser. 5 Stars would have been for the hard plastic dispenser.

I love this floss. I was worried about the packaging, but it works great!
