> 3 daySince I started using this floss, I have no visible plaque buildups between dental appointments. Before it used to really build up especially along my lower front teeth. The dentist says my teeth and gums are in great shape and is no longer recommending scraping and planing as she had before. The big (and only) downside for me is the new packaging. Its way too flimsy and makes it difficult to break off a piece to use, perhaps especially for older hands. I know its eco-friendly and Im all for that. but maybe they could figure out better packaging.

> 3 dayThis floss was recommended by my dentist as being more effective at removing tartar or food material between teeth. It expands when wet and has a cardamom taste. I really appreciate the stiff paper container, instead of floss’ s usual one-time-use plastic case. I just wish this floss were less expensive.

> 3 dayI liked the other packaging better. String is thinner liked other thicker string it grabbed better.

> 3 dayI threw out all my mainstream-brand coated floss with once I found this PFAS free model. Big fan of Dr Tung products. This is the slightly thicker sort of floss. It is lightly coated with beeswax, so its slightly slippery but not as easy-glide as mainstream coated brands. Its round, slightly stretchy, and spongy, rather than a flat tape, so if you have no space between your teeth you might find it hard to use, but it should work for people with average gaps between teeth and who are used to flossing daily. A real price-saver is if you can buy the refills-only option (just a roll of floss wrapped in plastic, no dispenser). The refills fit into my standard floss plastic case (different brand). Dr Tungs sells the refills for their old plastic case, but they have since moved to this new paper disposable case that is eco-friendlier. The paper case tends to get crushed and fall apart if you handle it too much, so save those old plastic cases (different brand prob ok) and you can easily put the roll in them. This floss comes in ONLY ONE flavor: cardamom. Its exotic but light and pleasant, and you get used to it. Couldnt be happier.

> 3 daySeems like the quality on everything has slipped these days. First off: the new packaging is horrible. The old plastic container was great, but these new paper things are awful. I understand the need to be environmentally friendly, but these new packages are just cheap. Secondly: I have tight spaces between my teeth, but never had a problem with floss shredding and getting caught between my teeth until this last purchase. It get caught every single time. The strand breaks down much faster than it used to. QC seems to have gone out the window. Thirdly: Its still the same price as it was. A worse product for the same price. Id pay a bit more for better QC.

> 3 dayI am a huge fan of this floss - it is by far the best performing I have ever used. BUT, the new paper-based box for the floss is really one step forward, three steps back. Why? 1) Paper seems more Earth-friendly than plastic, but the (innovatively designed) plastic box could have been retained yet used recycled plastic, plant-derived plastic, and/or biodegradable plastic — instead of using paper. The company should have tried harder to find an innovative, green material — this customer will pay the premium associated with a more green material. 2) As someone who uses floss after brushing, my hands are wet. If you repeatedly get the new paper box wet, it becomes squishy and loses structural integrity. 3) I travel for work a lot and pack this floss in my toiletries. The paper box gets crushed, whereas the plastic box of course maintained form. This is a huge concern, because once the box is crushed, ease of use is gone. 4) It is actually much harder to thread the floss around the cutting edge of the paper box than it was to thread around the cutting edge of the plastic box — because of the paper box’s flap being in the way. 5) Harder to know how much floss I have left because the paper box is not translucent. The plastic box was.

Greater than one weekLove the product. Recommended by our hygienist. One tip when breaking off the floss hold the package by the sides to stop the floss reel from turning while you pull against the blade. Otherwise the floss likes to pull past the cutoff blade.
