I liked how they glided between my teeth with ease. They are easy on the gums

this is the closest dupe Ive been able to find to the discontinued gentle gum care floss. It tastes/smells oddly like fruity pebbles cereal and I actually enjoy that.

My dental hygienist suggested Dr Tungs floss because I have crowns that shred regular floss. I must admit my crowns shred the Dr Tungs floss too. It is made of very fine fibers held together by bees wax. I cant blame the floss since the problem is the crowns. The flavor is interesting. Pleasent but not minty. It does a good job of cleaning as long as it does not get hung up on your dental work.

I really like this floss, and its been a worthy replacement since my preferred woven floss (reach woven, later listerine woven) was discontinued years ago. It has enough surface texture and is bulky enough to clean the larger spaces between my teeth, while still being squishy enough to make it through the narrower spots. And I like the mild flavor. My latest order came in their new plastic free packaging, and it turns out the floss inside is the same size spool and on the same size hub as the old package. That means you can use the new version to refill the older plastic packages. The new packaging is just fine, and is preferable to throwing away the old one each roll, but I like the old package better. It seems to protect my floss better rattling around in my toiletries bag. To refill an old dispenser, carefully pop off the colored plastic shell, remove the old plastic hub, open up the new dispenser and get out the filled spool, then put the spool into the new dispenser running clockwise. Thread the floss out the slot, and make sure the inside end of the floss on the spool wont get trapped in the hole in the hub. The clear plastic disc which will come flying out when you pop open the old package goes on the top side of the spool. Put it on the pin inside the colored plastic part first, then press that pin into the hole in the spool and bottom plastic part to close the old dispenser back up with the new refill. Also, on a pedantic note, the new packaging does still have a plastic hub and the spool sits in a small plastic bag, so describing this as plastic-free doesnt seem quite accurate. But its definitely much less plastic than the old approach used. Great floss, and Im glad I can now refill my old dispensers

Love the product. Recommended by our hygienist. One tip when breaking off the floss hold the package by the sides to stop the floss reel from turning while you pull against the blade. Otherwise the floss likes to pull past the cutoff blade.

Effective floss but durability of cardboard case remains to be seen.

I love Dr Tungs floss, but not a fan of the new update. Its much harder FOR ME to use it now. As someone with a disability and who struggles using their hands and fine motor skills- the old packaging was simple and the floss glided out. Now its just the circle of floss by itself in a little plastic bag (but I know its not plastic bc that would make no sense) and you pull the string out of the bag. It doesnt come undone as easy, and then the paper box that you then cut it with is really hard to close back so I have to get scissors. Biggest pain and hassle for me and not an easy task like before to do multiple times. Again, this is my review and Im sure majority of able bodied people will succeed just fine with the change but being chronically ill- this was a bad change :(

The last time I bought this floss they came in plastic discs, but this time they came in a non-plastic cardboard holder (still with the metal cutter). This is such a good idea, no loss of functionally but without throwaway plastic! The floss itself is also fantastic. My dentist recommends it, and its the best floss for actually getting stuff out of your teeth.
