Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Our old stick vacuum not performing as we had hoped it would, so we started shopping around for a replacement. After much research, I decided on this Dyson model V15 Detect. It was quite expensive compared to most other choices for a replacement. However, You get what you pay for! This machine is by far the best stick vacuum we have ever had. It came with several accessories including one for rugs/carpets and one for hardwood/tile floors. They work excellently! Love how a green light on the hardwood floor attachment actually shows the dust and dirt that your eye misses! Even though it comes with a single battery, we have yet to run it completely down with one use (light touch up with 5-6 hardwood rooms and four rooms with carpet or rugs! The battery can be charging all the time when not in use without building a memory or harming the machine. It is far more powerful than any of our previous machines and easy to empty and care for. We use this for most of our vacuuming needs and use our Kirby for the heavy duty, twice-a-year vacuuming of carpets and rugs! I mentioned before, great performance but pricey. If it lasts for a long time I will consider it a good value! I will update if any issues come up.

This is my second Dyson Cordless Vacuum. This one has many more features than my old one. It’s amazing how much more it picks up out of the carpet! It’s expensive, but very much worth the price. Nothing beats this vacuum cleaner.

I upgraded from the v8, so I wasn’t expecting ground breaking improvements. I was blown away by how many ground breaking improvements there were. First, they changed the way it empties, which is a significantly better and easier, more efficient. This also allows for a larger bin, another huge improvement. The green light on the hard floor roller is surprisingly useful, it really works. Moving on to the motor and lcd, the motor is more powerful, it has a setting to auto adjust according to your flooring, I thought that would be a failed option but it works so well I actually leave it on that setting. This does a couple of things, first it gives you longer running life of the unit, from 8 minutes at high on the v8, to I haven’t yet run this one out of battery on a single cleaning job. It also lets you focus on cleaning and not on flipping a switch every time you changed floor types. The lid gives a real time view of minutes per stage of power, so if you want to manually adjust it, you know how long you have left on the battery. Add to that the lifetime heap filters, and this is a winner by a long shot. I’m glad I chose to bite the bullet and pay what this one costs, about double the v8, because it is 5 times better than the v8. Wow is an understatement. If you can afford it, just buy it.

Buy it now and thank me later. Carpets clean? Not til you use this thing. No dust on that tile? Wait til that green laser hits it. NO CORD! Super long battery life. Plenty of attachments. Easy to use. PS. You can use it going forward AND reverse. Just takes some getting used too. It has great suction in BOTH directions.

This is so much better than dragging electrical cords all over the house. Very happy. Bought a much cheaper machine, and it was not effective, at all. You get what you pay for. I could wish for a bit more suction, and more run time on the battery, but from our limited sample of two machines, this is far, far superior. Easy to get against walls and under furniture. Good selection of tools! Perfect for bare floors.

Can’t think of anything negative to say about the Dyson . It’s the easiest vacuum ,most powerful vacuum , we ever had ..works great on tile or wood or carpet. Love the infrared light and shows you where you’re cleaning . Very helpful , easy to empty , no bags , you do have to charge the battery pretty regularly if you use it a lot , other than that it’s a breeze . Very lightweight ,No cords. will never go back to regular vacuum. We have an iRobot ,whic h is good and we have traditional vacuums, even though the cost is pretty high . We bought the top-of-the-line model with all the attachments. You won’t regret it .

I cannot say enough about this vacuum except how much I love it! We live with 3 long hair cats and have gone through countless vacuums that barely touch the hair. I was shocked at how much cat hair this picks up. Im also very happy with the length of time the battery runs. I can pretty much do the whole house plus a screen porch on one charge. I will never buy another brand again.

This thingy leaves all other vacuum cleaners I owned in last 25 years to literally bite the dust.

It’s too heavy to hold stable, I have to use both hands to make it running well.

Picks up everything and that Green light shows just how dirty your floors are even when they dont look dirty.
