I turn these inside out and scoop up kitty business in the box, turn them right side out again, knot the bag and toss. I used to just flush kitty stuff until I learned that a lot microbes in cat feces survive water treatment efforts (ew!) so now I throw it away and these bags are great for that. And we have found that they do indeed break down in time, which is more planet friendly than plastic.

Ive used the regular Earth Rated bags for years and theyre great. So I purchased some of the compostable ones in an attempt to be a little more eco friendly. Well, theyre total junk. They are tissue thin and shred to pieces just trying to tear them off the main roll or when trying to open them for use. Run away!

I switched from the green colored Earth-rated bags because these meet current guidelines for compostable products. However, I did find that these bags are more difficult to open. In my case, I use them to remove waste from the cat litter box daily. I have a smaller, separate open trash can for pet waste. I leave there the used bags and generally take them out to dispose every other day or so. I did notice that with these bags the smell leaks through the plastic because the room where I had the trash can for pet waste stunk and it didnt use to do so. I still consider that the environmental advantages of these bags are worth the hassle of changing my routine and figuring out a new system, so I will likely continue buying them.

Compostable, durable, truly eco friendly -- great quality. We also prefer unscented bags so this was a bonus. Cant stand the usually over-powering scents.

These are great poop bags. I’ve been a fan of earth rated for a long time. They have high quality products that get the job done well. Great for picking up the daily mess or cleaning up the yard if you haven’t in a while.

Useful product, better quality than I expected. Also it is environmentally safe. Have already ordered more.

I have used these bags for some time now & love them. Initially when I purchased them, I was afraid that because they were compostable, they would not be very strong, but I havent had one rip or tear yet. And this is with my daughters swinging the bags after picking up poo from a 70+lb doggo.
