Easy CD & DVD Creator 6

> 3 dayAfter reading the reviews, it is easy to see that Im NOT the only one having all sorts of problems. Roxio Easy (LOL) CD/DVD Creator came bundled with my new TDK DVD burner. It has got to be the sorriest software Ive ever attempted to install, with the exception of some freeware. It exposed hidden partitions, only partially installed, and Im seeing the dreaded BSOD, telling me that there is a software or hardware conflict. Version 5 came with my computer, so I had to go back to using it. Also, ever since I TRIED to install version 6, ACDSee tries to act as Windows Explorer. I would advise any and everyone who is even thinking about purschasing this software NOT to. Its looking like Im going to have to wipe my HD and start all over.

> 3 dayI put in an order for this (I had version 5 on a prior PC) so that Id have some decent DVD software on my new PC. I treated the negative reviews here with skepticism. But they appear to be bang on target. So far, it has completely prevented XP from restarting (giving me a message that Windows can no longer figure out whether I have a valid license or not -- trust me, I do; and then on another reinstall hungup half-way through copying files. For something as basic as disk copying you shouldnt have to deal with the kind of problems that bleeding-edge games or other exotic software present. Even with the current rebate Im out ... because I figured it couldnt be all bad. Forget it. Ill go back to the earlier version.

> 3 dayI installed Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 on my PC yesterday and so far, I love it. Installation and registration were a snap. I am still exploring all the extra goodies and features. With two small children, the PhotoSuite feature, will come in handy. I was able to edit the quality of a photo, as well as, add a fun caption. I was so proud of my own photo creation, that I wanted to share it. So, I did. I was able to select send e-mail directly from the command bar. Too cool... I also had fun editing my audio tracks. Im certainly not a Disc Jockey, but with the AudioCentral I can mix and edit my music, to my style. I look forward to finding new projects to create with my Creator 6. I am only rating this product 4 stars, because I have not seen it all. This product is exactly what I was looking for, and I didnt even know it.

> 3 dayAfter mucho Hype I made a terrible assumption that spending big bucks on a recording suite that it would include most features as other similiar products but I made a huge mistake. I honestly cant believe that the folks at Roxio actually use this product because if they did they would have noticed the massive holes in standard features that it is lacking. I wanted an MP3 solution mainly, with an option to get a DVD burner later but I have many complaints. * It will not allow you to use your own MP3 naming format. You can only use the 3 presets, so it is necessary to go back after every rip & rename every track to what it should be. Totally ignoring what a customer wants to do- you must do it Roxios way or do it yourself. * Standard features like normalization are simply left out. If you have cds at a different volume level- too bad, buy another product to do what this one should do. * Simple items are made cumbersom such as CDDB- which finds the names but you must refresh everytime you accept what the CDDB finds or your tracks will get named Track1 & so on. This is just extra keystrokes for what should already have been done.... again making it cumbersom. * Comes with a 350 page book telling you everything except what you want to do or know. Want to find out how to burn an ISO? No table of contents to just search ISO. You must wait on pages & pages of worthless timeconsuming Manuals via PDF. This is really the unforgivable part. * Things like DVD builder are amazingly enept. One example is that there are 2 options to save- Save & Save as. Both do the same thing. Save as doesnt allow you to save as anything or to anyplace- Name? OK saved just like the option for Save. This is a total lack of testing & product development & lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Now I did give it 1 extra star due to the baseline of support does pick up my dvd/cd recorders. Many that I have tried in the past dont do that... But I guess I will have to throw this in as a wash of my cash & try to find a product that works. Thanks for nothing Roxio.

> 3 dayUseful, but your OS should have everything that you need these days.

> 3 dayWithout a doubt one of the worst products Ive ever bought and one of the worst companies Ive ever dealt with! First, I created a playlist, burned it to CDR and everything seemed fine. However, when I opened that playlist the next day the songs were not in the order I had placed them in, some were missing, and there were two nameless tracks added (with no information in them). Second, when I tried to edit tracks using Sound Editor I got repeated failure messages saying Unable to Open the File for editing. It would not even PLAY most tracks and I got a message saying In Use Elsewhere. The Sound Editor also repeatedly froze up during editing sessions, which were then entirely lost! Hours of work wasted! In fact, the software locks up often regardless of what feature you are trying to use. I contacted their so-called technical support (Ha!) by phone and email, but still havent heard from them. I didnt pay for this. If I cant return it for a refund its going in the trash - where it will be right at home! P.S.: I would not even give this turkey one star, but Amazon does not offer the option of giving less than one star!

> 3 dayVery nice, I love it. There is so much stuff in there. I already burned some VCD slideshows, made some DVD movies. I like the AudioCentral also, very nice, it helps to organize the audio files. Pretty much I can do there anything that I need to do with my audio. I use the Creator Classic a lot to ( very nice up grade from Creator 5). And there are so much other stuff in there. Looove it.

> 3 dayI have used Roxio CD creator 5 for the past year and was very pleased with it. When my husband and I decided to reload our OS I figured wed try the next step up. What a mistake! Version 6 takes forever to install, caused my pc to take forever to perform restarts, and wont even open. After uninstalling and reinstalling I still had the same problem. I plan on demanding my money back from Roxio and sticking to good old version 5. I definitely do not recommend this product. I only wish I had read the reviews here at Amazon and on Roxios own website before wasting my time on this software.

> 3 dayI have used about all versions of Roxio CD-Maker even buggy Verson 5. The new drag and drop icon works great. I have tried other cd-creator software, but none as work as easy or quick as Roxie. Install was breeze. I notice if I use no-name CD-R my system will hangup with any errors. I would said it is good buy.
