Both original and replacement machines had defective UV lights that didnt work. Extremely poor quality control

I cant recommend this printer enough! I absolutely love this thing. I am coming from an ANYCUBIC Photon S and this is like night and day in differences. Moving from a small build plate to this is a big change and had to really get to work on understanding supporting my prints. I love this thing and havent had any issues other than my own with it.

This is a great printer. This was my first resin printer and I couldnt be happier. It was an easy set up and really easy to use.

I purchased two of these units to add to my maker workshop. We build studio scale models for the gaming and movie studios and been using 3D FDM printers for years. I was excited to try SLA printers to capture even higher detail but the experience hasnt been great. Were only having about a 40-60% print success rate on both machines. We have tried numerous print settings, and have consumed countless FEP sheets, resin and IPA due to failures. We are using Elegoo resin with its recommended settings and still with limited success. When the prints do succeed they are beautiful but at the cost of failure, it just to hight to continue using these units.

Purchased in late March of this year after another one of my large screen SLA printers went down due to a bad LCD screen. I figured I would give Elegoo a shot and I was NOT disappointed. Not only is it MUCH faster than a competitor that I was using, but I was floored that the quality of the prints were remarkably precise. I make 3D models for prototypes for a living and then print the models in resin or in FDM depending on the level of quality and details of the models. The linear guide rails help stabilize the large build plate where as some of the older SLA printers I have used only had a machined column which did give much in the way of stability, especially with larger prints that could tend to get heavy on one side or the other depending on the geometric features printed. The only thing I saw that was lacking on this was a ball screw for the Z axis drive screw. Not a deal breaker by any means but something that would translate less noise and would promote more accuracy for those super fine details that may not be as crisp otherwise. No issues with the build plate adhesion, the build plate has a bead blasted texture that feels grippy when I run my hand across it. I was also able to find a profile in Chitubox which worked with no modification. I have only adjusted the exposure times for the different resins I use. (opaque versus clear) Overall, I would recommend this printer to anyone looking to either upgrade from the smaller Mars model or just for a printer with a generous build size (7 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 7 7/8) and one heck of an amazing print speed / quality! I can surely see myself buying another one of these or if they produce an even larger version, something bigger from Elegoo. Great product. It prints well with little issue. I did have an issue with the screen and service replaced it quickly for me.

After a fair amount of experience with FDM printing, I wanted to try a resin printer. Although this is my first resin printing experience, and I’m still on the beginning of the learning curve, the prints that have been successful are amazing. The level of detail is outstanding. I’m very excited to continue the experimentation and learning to become proficient in using the Saturn 2.

This is a beefy upgrade of the saturn s. This has a bigger print area and is a dependable workhorse thus far in my farm. Its even a little faster than the saturn s.
