The projector says “No Signal” from HDMI even though there is an incoming signal and the cable has been tested and works as expected. I’ve tested the other components in the AVR system and the projector is component that’s failing. I hope Epson or Amazon will send a replacement.

Steve went out of his way to help us out. We absolutely love the Epson 3800 Projector. Works great with my Bluetooth sound system. Just have it against my textured wall and the picture is good. I can’t wait for my screen to show up. Thanks for your help Steve at Hatchfield Co. Will buy from their company again in the future!

I almost didn’t pick up this projector due to repeated concerns about focus uniformity. I’ve had no issue whatsoever with this. I think it may be because I didn’t require a ton of vertical or horizontal lens shift though I did use it. This picture is bright enough to be serviceable in a room with three windows during the day and when the lights go out it’s truly special. The contrast is truly phenomenal. Does it have OLED blacks? No. But I’ve got a 100” image and it’s a more beautiful picture than any modern tv I have in my home. I’d be shocked if you could find anything better for a similar use case for $1500 refurbished (what I paid.) If you don’t want to pay $3000 this is a great projector for you.

My TV is LG OLED and old projector is Optoma HD39Darbee. After I purchased OLED tv, I could not watch Optoma 1080p projector anymore. Enter Epson 3800. Now I do have a choice, I like both options, depending on the mood. What is interesting is that Epson3800s info section says it is 4K resolution projector. I tried ``True 4K Optoma Uhd38 and its info section says it is 1080p. HD39Darbee is actually better UHD38 in color and the resolution perception for me. But Epson 3800 is a principally refinement and is a clear motivation for me to move into the 4K area of projectors. The colors are outstanding, the resolution is excellent for me, not annoying, it definitely provides a 3D feeling to the 4K HDR picture. The setup is OK, a lot of lens shifting. So, if someone wants to move into the 4K area of projectors, Epson 3800 is my first recommendation (if not to look into $5000+ area).

We installed this in a new media room weve built, and it has exceeded all our expectations. The picture quality is outstanding, far better than I expected even from a projector that touts 4K resolution. The bulb is also nice and bright, and the picture is easily visible even with the theater lighting turned all the way up in the room. We easily integrated the projector into a surround sound system, as well as a multiport HDMI switch to allow easy changes, and there were no issues at all from the Epson with handling the inputs/outputs. The projector was a little interesting to get mounted and aimed. Our mounting position was slightly off center, with a relatively short throw of 16 for a 110 screen. The on projector dials, and the digital controls were not wholly intuitive, so it took about an hour to get the screen dialed in where the image was crisp and properly square. We hit the adjustment limit a couple times as well, so it took some repeated adjustments in several places to get it there. That said, once it was set, its been two months and its been rock solid without any issues.

Just got this projector replacing my Panasonic 720p projector which worked nicely for 15 years but now with 4K content available I thought I would get this to start with watching the Super Bowl. First impression is it’s amazing upgrading from the 720p. Colors are rich and crisp. Lots of keystone adjustments available to fix the alignment since my previous projector was not aligned center of the room and I used the same ceiling frame to hang this projector. Couldn’t step away watching a movie or HD/4K content. I am still using a very old HDMI cable and yet getting very good picture - not sure if I have to upgrade it. Overall, after two days of using it, just impressed how good the experience is. Will know more after tomorrow’s super bowl game. Definitely recommend over buying a large OLED TV.

We received this item....which we have been soooo excited about! And the power wont turn on. We tried all of their tips in the user manual and still nothing. It is soooo disappointing to pay so much for a product & wait so long for it to arrive defective. We are quite frustrated. I mean, thank goodness this wasnt for a business meeting or something so very important. Id say this is not reliable.

I upgraded from the Epson 2150 (1080p and 2500 brightness), and instantly noticed a difference in brightness. This is a 4k projector, but its technically only a half-4k, since it shifts the image one pixel over every other frame to make the upgraded image -- and 4k technically is 4x 1080p, not 2x -- but that said almost nobody is going to notice anyways, and this is an upgrade from the 1080p -- just know its not true 4k. There are a couple of additional nice things on this projector -- it can connect to bluetooth speakers (amazing feature, i used to use this via the apple tv directly to get the same result), it has a usb port that can provide enough power for roku/firetv etc which prevents having to have an adapter. The optical horizontal/vertical tilt is amazing, helps line up the picture and not sacrifice any brightness or quality (or the dreaded overbleed for light on your screen). A great budget 4k projector, best ive used so far.

Super nice projector but I am returning. Seems to have an extremely annoying brightness shifting during scenes. Ive tried the different color modes, Ive tried the different Image Enhancement modes. Ive also tried searching through the menus to see if there is anything that would cause the brightness shifting. Cant figure it out, sad Im returning it. Great picture quality and nice and quiet on Cinema and Natural setting.
