> 24 hourThis vacuum is perfect for my needs....small, lightweight, no bag and great suction. The only improvement needed is to add to the cord length.

> 24 hourMy vacuum that’s supposed to be multi-surface just blew stuff around on the hardwood floor but did fine in carpet or area rugs. My new house is all wood floors, but I also have rugs everywhere. I vacuumed two rooms with the Eueka and got an inch of dust and dirt and whatnot in the canister. I cannot wait to vacuum the rest of my house!!! I’ll take pictures and update soon.

> 24 hourThis little vacuum is just incredible. It performs at the quality of a 500+ dollar vaccum. It has great features like retractable cord, and a mount for the brush head. Easy to to use, simple, powerful and just a dream. Its pretty much an improved mighty might vac. And both I say are designed to have one of the strongest suction capabilities I have ever witnessed. Its up there with the Miele vacs and this bad boy goes for under 100 bucks. It almost feels illegal! This is also coming from a full-time house keeper. This vacuum even feels more powerful then a shop vac. A SHOP VAC!

> 24 hourI very rarely write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so today after using the Eureka WhirlWind that was delivered today from Amazon. Yesterday when ordering this machine after my 3-year old Bissell Zing finally bit the dust with the smell of burning plastic and loss of almost all suction, I was looking for a review like THIS ONE to let me know if I should buy the same Bissell Zing again (the devil you know) or try this Eureka WhirlWind out (the devil you don’t). For those looking for a fast answer, I will tell you right now, the Eureka WhirlWind won by a mile. This is a far superior machine and comparatively priced. For those who are looking for the reasons I feel this way I have quite a bit to write. At the beginning of the pandemic, 3 years ago, I was forced to downsize my living space significantly. I moved from a very large multiple level place to a small apartment of 500 square feet. Like everyone else during the beginning of the pandemic I was forced to buy pretty much everything online. When I moved into my new place I ordered 4 area rugs from Amazon and chose high pile shag rugs (all are in my photos) as well as a no pile indoor/outdoor rug for the bathroom. My old upright vacuum cleaner from the old place would have handled these rugs wonderfully, but it was too huge to store anywhere in my new place, so I had to give it away. What I needed was a small vacuum cleaner that could be broken apart in sections and stored under the kitchen sink. I found the Bissell Zing on Amazon and ordered it immediately. When it arrived it seemed to fit the bill. It was the right size and easy to store. But right from the first use on my high pile shag rugs and it was a struggle. The Zing was very limited- did not move easily along the shag rugs and really seemed to do a poor job. Vacuuming was HARD and it was not fun- it was like an aerobic workout and the rugs never seemed to be fully free of my cat’s hair and my long hair. Still it was all I had and I just lived with it. Also with the Zing, which is bagless, like the Eureka WhirlWind, the filter was a paper honeycomb-like thing, which I hated right away. It was not easy to clean at all. I truly hated cleaning that filter! So ok, that’s what I was dealing with and I vacuumed about once a week, hating the process. After less than a year the extension wand sections, which were plastic, began to crack. It may have been all of the pressure I was forced to use to vacuum the shag rugs. Maybe if I had just low pile rugs or floors that might not have happened. But it did. It made vacuuming ever HARDER. Oh, what a chore. I got out my friendly duct tape, bandaged the plastic and resumed and went on this way for another 2 years until yesterday when I plugged in the Zing and started vacuuming and heard an unhappy sound from the motor and smelled burning plastic. Then I lost almost all suction. It had been used approximately 150 times on the rugs and floors shown in my photos. I threw it in the trash. Since my main concern was being able to store it under my kitchen sink, I could find only 2 options under $100 here on Amazon- another Zing or the Eureka Whirlwind. I read all reviews for both. I knew the Zing quite well and knew it’s limitations and was scared to get stuck with something worse (god forbid!) but I went with the Eureka WhirlWind instead. Mind you, there are a million better vacuums out there & more money will get a better machine, but the Eureka Whirlwind is much better then the Zing for MANY reasons. First of all, it was simple & brainless to put together. I think the Zing was simple as well. But as soon as I used it today it was OBVIOUS to me how much stronger the suction was and I did not have to struggle in the same was as I did with the Zing to get it across my high pile rugs. It picked up MUCH more and I honestly think my rugs got the best vacuum they have ever experienced. They are cleaner with the WhirlWind and it was EASIER to vacuum with the Whirlwind. Other features that I found make the WhirlWind better: The extension wand is METAL with the WhirlWind, not plastic, like the Zing. So even if I had to apply the same kind of pressure, the wand is stronger and will not crack. Also, the cord is 2 feet longer than the Zing, meaning I only have to plug it in to one outlet to do my whole place. But another thing I find incredible is NO MORE honeycomb paper filter! Thank goodness! The filter on this Whirlwind is FLAT and appears so much easier to wash. Hallelujah. My vacuuming experience just now with the Whirlwind took 1/2 of the time than it took with the Zing and came out cleaner and it took less physical effort from me. So that is something you should know. This is an EXCELLENT low priced, basic, small vacuum. I will do my best to update this review only if something goes wrong and I end up hating the WhirlWind,, but so far I am thankful I did not get another Zing.

> 24 hourIts a good brand, which is why I continue to buy them; however, it doesnt have the suction of my old Eureka cannister Mighty Mite. I found that at a repair shop and it has been going for about 15 years. Its wearing down, which is why I bought the new one-which I put into a closet until the Mighty Mite totally breaks down.

> 24 hourVacuum made of plastic. Not the good old metal ones from years ago with better suction power. Real lightweight to carry or wheel around. I like the retractable power cord. Great for stairs as you can carry it with your hand as it has a hand grip.

> 24 hourEven though I have a Hoover upright (Wind Tunnel) for my flat carpeted floors, it needs a bag, its loud, it doesnt have good suction and definitely a hassle on carpeted stairs which I now have with a recent move. This little vacuum is perfect and the price is right also. Adjusts for use on hardwood floors. It is lightweight, maneuvers well, easy to clean and dump the dirt (no bag!!) The assembly is super quick and the suction is awesome. I would recommend for stairs but maybe not the whole carpeted house, just because it has such good suction it makes it slow going but it would be a great workout!

> 24 hourTook me a year to buy this again after 10 years of the old one. NOTE: they made changes to the hose size so your old attachments wont fit! I had just bought additional attachments for drapery fabric etc and wont work on this new sweetheart Vac. Great suction good enough quality few changes from there 10 year old model but still for the price I recommend it to anyone just does a great job good price and if you take care of it they last a long time.
