Greater than one weekEven though I have a Hoover upright (Wind Tunnel) for my flat carpeted floors, it needs a bag, its loud, it doesnt have good suction and definitely a hassle on carpeted stairs which I now have with a recent move. This little vacuum is perfect and the price is right also. Adjusts for use on hardwood floors. It is lightweight, maneuvers well, easy to clean and dump the dirt (no bag!!) The assembly is super quick and the suction is awesome. I would recommend for stairs but maybe not the whole carpeted house, just because it has such good suction it makes it slow going but it would be a great workout!

> 3 dayVery good suction (pet-free household), works well on hard and carpeted floors, super easy to clean, loving the in-built brush to reach narrow spaces, optimal cord length (can do a large room without reconnecting). Key drawback- wobbly attachment of the wand/tube, doesn’t sit tight, gets disconnected easily (you can work around it, but the design could certainly be improved).

> 3 dayI recently got hardwood in the living room and thought Id give this a try. Oh my, its wonderful. The box it came in was small but the packaging is so concise, and the parts needed no assembly. Just connect the extensions and youre ready to vacuum! The length is more than enough for the handle and it has a genius way of bringing out the brush if you extend the arms to the end. Thats awesome because I lose those kinds of attachments all the time. This model looks like the first Dyson that was rolled out in the US, but a little smaller and with a little less force and minimal noise. But it does a great job picking up dirt and baked in dirt from my floor and the carpeted stairway was so easy to vacuum with this I wonder how I never used this before in my life. Its concise, the cord auto rewind is always a plus (for me thats a requirement), and it takes up very little space and is super easy to manuever. If the long term use of this changes my first time experience review, I will come back to update this. I totally recommend this for concise vacumming needs, especially for hardwood floors. I love it. ... Update - I just vaccumed my low pile carpet in one room and this again performed like a pro! I am very happy with this and will be my go to vacuum now. The suction power is very good.

> 3 dayTook me a year to buy this again after 10 years of the old one. NOTE: they made changes to the hose size so your old attachments wont fit! I had just bought additional attachments for drapery fabric etc and wont work on this new sweetheart Vac. Great suction good enough quality few changes from there 10 year old model but still for the price I recommend it to anyone just does a great job good price and if you take care of it they last a long time.

> 3 dayOnly one attachment is usable with the tube extended. It seems heavy-duty and generally heavy. The suction is excellent.

Greater than one weekUpdated Review: After struggling with this thing to vacuum my cellar two or three times, I replaced the broken hose on my Hoover and went back to using that on my cellar floor. This vacuum is just too much work for me to use, maintain, and store. Ive retired it to a corner, where it will sit until I can find another home for it. Original review: I bought this to replace my Hoover commercial portapower hand vacuum, the plastic stretch hose on which broke in two at the handle after three years of intermittent use. So, I decided to try something different. The hose on this does not stretch, a plus for me. Ive only used it once so far to vacuum my hardwoods, area rugs, and cement cellar floor. Will take some getting used to. The suction on this thing is phenomenal, due in part to the design of the floor attachment, which is flat and hugs the floor. I read the instructions and experimented with all the settings and combinations on both hardwoods and flat pile area rugs. It works well on my hardwoods using the carpet settings. The hardwood setting hugs the floor too tightly, making it difficult to move. The carpet setting works on no pile area rugs only if you pull the wand towards you. If you try to push it forward, it gets hung up on the carpet, regardless of how you use the settings. It does not work at all on my pile carpets. The hose is a bit cumbersome because its pretty stiff, but Im tall and I can work with it. So, I finished vacuuming and even though the dirt cup was only half full, I decided to empty and wash it. Unfortunately, the dirt cup does not separate from the foam filter housing (you can remove the foam filter, but not the housing), so to wash either one they both get wet. And, when I checked the foam filter, it was filthy and required washing as well. Very cumbersome to work with. Currently, the entire housing and filter are laying in front of my baseboard heater trying to dry. I got this to use on my cement cellar floors, and it appears to be fine for that using the carpet settings. Picks up cat litter, dust, and small debrs. There is a small brush for upholstery, but no decent crevice tool, which I need to clean my dryer screen housing and vents. I do like the retractable cord and that the wand attaches to the machine for storage. I also like that it has wheels and I can easily pull the vacuum behind me. Ill use it for a bit and see if I can work with its shortcomings. I like to keep my vacuum dirt cup clean with each using. Not sure how well that will go because cleaning and drying is a time eater and I have no sink in my basement. Just not a good fit for me.

> 3 dayThis vacuum is perfect for getting under furniture and hard to reach places. It’s lightweight which I love and easy to clean. I was looking for a vacuum that would get under my sofas so I wouldn’t have to move them and this one does just that! The suction is amazing. I highly recommend!

Greater than one weekThis little vacuum is amazing. See my attached photos for visual testimony of the suction power of this little powerhouse. Im a bit embarrassed to share my photos, however, they attest to how well this vacuum works. We have a very large home with lots of tile and hardwood flooring, and 2 area rugs. I host a weekly class in our home, consequently the whole house gets swept, mopped, and vacuumed at least weekly, if not twice a week. I had noticed our old vacuum was not doing quite as good of a job as it had previously, but I had no idea what a poor job it was truly doing. My first photo shows the filth that this new vacuum pulled out of ONE 8×12 area rug in our sunroom after I had thoroughly vacuumed the rug less than 48 hours before using our old vacuum. We dont even use our sunroom-- our two Great Danes do, however. They seem to think its their personal playground. I wasnt even going to bother to vacuum the rug again, but figured I should give the new vacuum a whirl when it arrived-- so glad I did! My first photo shows the dirt and dog hair that the vacuum pulled out of the area rug with just a few minutes of vacuuming. I do use deodorizing carpet cleaner powder on the rugs every few months just to make sure theres no dog scent hanging around, so I do think some of the dust that is seen in the vacuum cannister is powder that our old vacuum didnt pull out of the rug. Regardless, great little vacuum. Only caveat is that it doesnt have a roller bar, which I do prefer, but I guess if it continues to provide as much suction power as it has so far, a roller bar wouldnt make any difference.
