> 3 dayThis vacuum was very inexpensive, and of average overall quality. It has some convenient features like the telescoping metal handle, bagless dirt reservoir and washable filters. This model also comes with an extra filter. The foot operated controls for power, cord release and carpet/hard floors are convenient. Suction is strong and provides good cleaning power. The downside is that the plastic components seem a little flimsy. The clip that is intended to hold the cleaning wand upright when not in use could be sturdier and the telescoping metal wand flexes and moves some during use. Overall, not a bad canister vac for the money for light residential use. It’s no Meile, buts it’s also a fifth of the cost.

02-12-2024I bought this Eureka canister vac after struggling with a standing Bissell for years. While the Bissell seems well-equipped for carpets, it (to my frustration) blew dog hair around on our hard floors, and tossed back out bits and crumbs instead of actually sucking them up. My parents recommended a canister vac for hard floors, so I decided to try this one as it was low cost and I could return it through Amazon should it not work out. Thankfully, after unboxing and using it to vacuum all of our hard floors today, I am pleased beyond belief that it indeed sucks up pet hair (the bane of my existence) with ease. It is also small and light. The dust cup is easy to empty after use, and it is satisfying to see all its sucked up in one go. I came across a wad of threads from a rope toy my dogs play with, and the Eureka sucked it right up, and I saw it immediately in the dust cup with the rest of the debris it had collected. Our Bissell could never. The swiveling head is convenient for getting into spaces our Bissell couldnt reach. The retractable cord is a blessing, though I wouldnt have minded the cord being a bit longer -- but it isnt a hardship to plug it into a different outlet as I go. It also seems a bit quieter than our Bissell. The on/off button is easy to tap with my foot, though you want to press it all the way, or else it will only start to come on or off but return back to its previous setting when you release the button. This is not a problem though, more of a tip to press it firmly enough for it to register. The Eureka has the best qualities of my parents old canister vacuum and the newer style vacuums, in that it is excellent at picking up hair and debris on hard floors, but is also less cumbersome and bagless. One feature of many canister vacs that deterred me was their needing bag refills. With the Eureka, thats not an issue! Overall I would recommend the Eureka to others with hard floors who struggle with pet hair. Our dogs shed year-round, and their fur is by far the biggest obstacle I have faced in vacuuming our floors. This vac makes eliminating dog hair easy. It does the simple task I ask of a vacuum: to suck up dust, fur and crumbs from the hard floors. Since I have only used this vac once, I will keep my eyes peeled for issues in the future. I am hopeful that it will stay a reliable cleaning tool for years to come.

> 3 dayIt really sucks! Powerful suction for such a little vac. Easy to use, lightweight, great for floors but curve on the wand makes it difficult to use for dusting. Also wish it had a crevice tool. But overall a great little vac!

> 3 dayThis little vacuum works great for tile floors (& for the rugs I have in my kitchen). Note: It does NOT work well for carpet. At first, that was a disappointment! But then, I realized how much I appreciate this vacuum for the things it CAN do! It is so lightweight, portable, convenient to carry to different parts of the house. It is easier for me to sweep the tile floors in our house using this vacuum than it is using a broom. Works fabulous for that! The canister is SO easy to pop in and out to empty when full. Love the retractable power cord! Great feature!

> 3 dayGreat, not too loud, does a good job! Only down is the vent part on the handle should be more hard to move. I keep hitting it with my hand, and cord could be longer

> 3 dayThis machine is everything I needed and more. I was initially looking for a cordless stick vacuum but after ordering a couple with great reviews and which I had to return due to not living up to my expectations; I decided to get this one, which would replace an old Kenmore which was pretty good but too old and broken, and boy was I happy I gave it a chance! This machine is a beast, you can actually feel it sucking up anything on the floor, carpet or furniture. Cleaning it is quick and easy and you can even rinse/wash the filter and container where the filter sits. This machine is also much cheaper than the ones I tried before and definitely more superior in quality. Love it!!!

> 3 dayOk, this just arrived and I was in desperate need of a vacuum, so I gave it a go today. It is a fairly inexpensive vacuum, so I wasn’t expecting a Dyson or something, but I like some of the features. While it’s definitely not the fanciest thing out there, but it seems to suit my needs for pet clean-up. 1. It’s was easy to put together and immediately start using. 2. It’s light weight and portable, rolling easily behind me or easily able to pick up to take to a different room. Some people may get annoyed at the short cord and the floor attachment, but it works for me. I LOVE the retractable cord. One thing I usually hate doing is wrapping up the cord after cleaning it moving to a different room and cordless vacuums just aren’t usually powerful enough. Which brings me to #3. 3. It has fairly powerful suction and a large enough opening for larger debris (like cat litter and chewed up dog toys). Again, some people might get annoyed at the small canister size, but I’m using it to clean up fur and messes, so I don’t mind emptying it right after I clean an area. There are also canisters that are slightly easier to dump because you have to remove the top filter in order to be able to dump it, but a minor inconvenience. 4. Your back may hurt from having to bend down to do it, but the floor attachment is so slim and rotates just right to be able to REALLY get underneath furniture. This feature is almost the best part for me because I normally can’t get the fur that collects under dressers, beds, couches, etc.

> 3 daySuction power is good for my apartment of one person with a cat. The scratchy material on the edges do pick up the cat hair fairly well, but still think i prefer a vacuum with a bristle roller for pet hair. I do like the light weight pull-behind canister, and the hose does seem to be a bit longer and more flexible than my last upright vacuum. Over all I’m pleased with this vacuum for light duty use, but would like it better if it had a bristle roller for anything more heavy duty. I do like how you can conveniently adjust the suction power easily on the handle area for lightweight throw rugs.

Greater than one weekFor years now I’ve been killing upright bag/ then bagless vacuums every 12-18 months. For context I have terribly expired carpet and two long haired cats. I’ve tried everything, every brand, but eventually they all bite the dust around the same time. I decided the try out a canister vac because I grew up with this style in the 80s and I thought that the lack of rotating brush might make a big difference. Boy was I right! First off this vac is easy to carry around and maneuver - no more lugging and pushing. Also - it gets into spaces the upright could never reach. What about the cat hair you may ask? With no rotating brush how does it do with that? It picks it up! And then any extra that gets stuck on the pads on the bottom - I flip it - pull it off and into the tube it’s sucked away. Easy clean up. No hacking at the rotating brush with scissors cutting hair off. The carpet looks amazing. I actually want to vacuum again. The retractable cord is quick and does not get caught up yet. Easy to dump the canister and keep going. Lightweight and flexible. I’m never going back to an upright again. If this one dies - I’ll update you and I’ll be investing in a nicer canister vacuum. Even though we grew up fairly modest there was reason my Mom had an expensive canister vacuum- it just took me till my mid-40s to figure it out! This is a great investment for a first time canister vacuum. So far so good!
