The top lid is a little tricky to take off without disturbing whatever you might keep inside this great Terrarium.

Great tank! Love the lockable doors on the front. Escape proof which is great for our two crested geckos. Highly recommended!

First off, the product arrived broken. There was no packing material inside the terrarium and one of the doors fell out and shattered. Framing was also poorly attached which contributed to the door falling out and breaking during shipping. Vendor was nice enough to send a replacement door vs me hauling the thing back to UPS. However, when I took everything apart to replace the door I removed the background and found a DEAD GECKO!!. At this point, what do you do? Just roll with it, I decided. Now, less then 1 week after getting our Gecko we noticed that he likes to climb and sit on the cut-out at the top of the background. Problem is the opening is big enough for a Gecko to crawl through and then hell end up behind the background and gets stuck. He cant turn around and will eventually die unless you are lucky enough to find him and rescue him. There is no point in having this large of a cut-out and you should be able to seal it from the top. Otherwise youll end up with a dead Gecko.

    Greater than one week

It arrived shattered twice. Ended up going local to buy a specific size. I was feeding one of them and closed the door. The glass leaves no gaps where the door swings open when closed but when its open there is plenty of space btwn the door and the main glass to catch your lizard in it. I did not see my anoles tail was literally cut off when i closed the door and it got caught in the door where it hinges closed. Dangerous that there is nothing to prevent them from getting caught when opening closing door. His tail was still wiggling when it fell to the floor. Be cautious when accessing the inside!

Recieved broken. The terrarium was shipped inside an outer box. When we opened it, the box was on its side. We picked it up to open the box correctly and immediately heard lose glass on the bottom of the box. Once opened we found and entire door off and broken in pieces and the other door hanging on by just a piece of tape.

Ive had the 18x18x24 set up for a few days now and so far so good. Just FYI: it is heavy! I had to get it to my second floor and now it basically has to stay there until I die. Packaging was fine and it arrived via FedEx in perfect condition and ahead of schedule. Im using this size for 2 anoles (who have a history of procreation and there is plenty of room for a few more). Im sure each set up varies slightly.... my background is super snug. Which means it stays in place well, but was tough to even move slightly to help get tubing behind. I was afraid if I used too much effort, I would break it. I love the dimensions of it and the front entrance... no more moving lamps to get in! I wasnt sure if the sticky feet of anoles would work on the foam background, but they latch on just fine! Theres plenty of room in the bottom for more than one brick of EE and Ill be able to add a false bottom eventually. It is a little tough to keep the humidity up, but I plan to invest in a monsoon also. The door latch seems very solid, though Im also utilizing the lock holes because I have a very interested young cat. I love the spots in the top for allowing tubing and wires in. Right now, Im mostly feeding calci worms and other worms in a bowl, so I dont yet know how crickets may fair in this set up. Im very happy with this purchase so far and *might* invest in a smaller one for travel purposes. ETA: I picked up a 2 pack of hitch pins from Walmart for less than a dollar, and its perfect for the lock holes. Just take care in inserting and removing since the door handles are plastic. Gives me peace of mind that there is NO way my cat can open the doors.

I was worried about shipping such a large glass container but it made it fine. The three lamp reflector has two switches for one, two or three on at a time. Overall, very nice, Id order it again (with the free shipping).
