I was advised by my furnace technician that while these more expensive filters remove more dirt and dust from the air, they restrict the air flow into the furnace, thereby making the furnace work harder. So its a catch 22. Cleaner air, your furnace works harder; or less clean air and your furnace will last longer. Not sure what to say about this. Techician recommeded using the cheap blue color filters that you can buy at Home Depot or other like stores.

I could not believe the price. 1/2 of what I usually pay for them on sale. My credit card has price guarantee and had me fill out a form and a few weeks later had a refund of $18.84.

Beats the heck out of the local hardware store filter. Cleans up the air very well, and Im completely satisfied.

These filters seem to work as advertised. Of course, being name branded, they also are a little more pricey than the competition but you do get what you pay for. The filters are appear to do a great job of catching airborne particles judging by how dirty the filters are after several months of use. I cant prove whether the flow rates or particle filtering properties are as described but Im satisfied with the product based on what Ive seen.

Ive been using Filtrete 1500 filters. Because of the heavy smog and cold temperatures this winter, I decided to try the 1900. When I removed the 1500 filter that had been in my furnace for one month, it was filthy. The 1900 has been in my furnace only two weeks, so in two more weeks Ill remove it and see how dirty it appears at that time.

The item was as described and expected. Excellent.
