filter works well. Unfortunately it clogs and fills rather rapidly and needs changing approximately every 2 weeks in the area where I live. The 1100 rated filter is more appropriate as a compromise.

I was advised by my furnace technician that while these more expensive filters remove more dirt and dust from the air, they restrict the air flow into the furnace, thereby making the furnace work harder. So its a catch 22. Cleaner air, your furnace works harder; or less clean air and your furnace will last longer. Not sure what to say about this. Techician recommeded using the cheap blue color filters that you can buy at Home Depot or other like stores.

Works for my unit. Have to buy the right size, though.

Seems as though my cough is somewhat better. Ask me again in the spring!

I was a little leary of ordering these after reading some of the reviews concerning the packaging being damaged causing damage to the filters themselves; however, the box arrived on time and intact. The savings achieved by purchasing these online through Amazon is worth it.

The amount of dust and dander these catch far exceeds my previous filters.
