I bought these to replace the filter I was using, which was a multi-use filter (just wash it off). Unfortunately, that filter just wasnt doing the job so I decided to go with disposable ones from 3M. I have two cats and the amount of dust that was floating around the house was insane. After a couple of weeks running one of these 3M filters, the amount of dust noticeably decreased. Now, having been running these for about 5 months, the air quality is noticeably better. These filters are meant to be replaced every three months. The only thing I will mention is that, if you havent had a working filter in awhile or you happen to live in an area with a lot of dust (have a lot of pets, the desert, etc), you may need to replace them more often. Other than that, I recommend these!

Filtrete filters are top-notch and the price of this 6-pack made it too good to pass up. Were having work done on our house and Ive noticed an increase in air-borne pollutants during the refurbishing. I ordered these filters to keep as much of the air-borne debris as possible out of our HVAC system, as well as our lungs. Despite the 3-month change recommendation, I will be changing them monthly for the duration of the work.

Ive been using Filtrete filters for long time without any problem. The purchase before this was Elite Allergen 2200. This time, I ordered Ultimate Allergen 1900 due to its better price: 6-pk at $93. The package arrived in 2 days in a well packed box. Great! However, none of 6 filters has information showing the performance rating. It seems to be missing the large wrapping paper which shows the rating. Each filter has only a blue 5x8 paper showing how often to change filter and installation instruction. I can not tell if I got the filter that I intend to order, which is Ultimate Allergen 1900. If no one can convince me, I might return it in a week and then re-order or get from a local store.

Excellent filter. Noticeable reduction in dust in the house since switching from basic filters to this Filtrete Ultimate filter. Have seen absolutely no extra taxing on the blower motor or other parts of the heating/ac system. Highly recommend the filter. I also like the packaging -- individually wrapped filters in a sturdy shipping box. The filters stay clean and I can store them in the box (I cut off a flap or two). Excellent purchase!

Excellent at removing smells and allergens

I was advised by my furnace technician that while these more expensive filters remove more dirt and dust from the air, they restrict the air flow into the furnace, thereby making the furnace work harder. So its a catch 22. Cleaner air, your furnace works harder; or less clean air and your furnace will last longer. Not sure what to say about this. Techician recommeded using the cheap blue color filters that you can buy at Home Depot or other like stores.

This is one of the higher end filters that Filtrete makes. We got this specifically because we have young kids and a dog. These filters do a great job keeping the air in the house clean and fresh. we typically change out the filter every 6-8 weeks.
