My wife has allergies and these filters are really great. Price was good too.

We live in a 3600sf home with two zones of forced air gas heating and AC. I have tried the electrostatic so-called permanent filters and had terrible time with those, they just dont work well and are a hassle to clean. I also tried some generic brands from the big box retailers and they would catch almost none of the small particles. This Filtrete 1900 is GREAT. Its a good balance between airflow and allergen/dust control. My furnace unit doesnt show any signs of lower airflow; although there probably is a small affect to airflow, it really has not shown up in the comfort of the home or my gas bill. My intake size is really hard to find, so I really like these 6-packs, they last a couple years and are very convenient.

THese are pricey, but we like them. We both have bad allergies as does our pet and when we have the fan on continuous with these in, then we notice we sneeze and are irititated a lot less.

I bought these for my new house but I havent settled in yet. I bought these just in case. I cant say that Ive noticed a difference in the air quality but after just two weeks of use I pulled it out and its definitely picking up dirt as indicated by its gray color. I used to have a cheap, blue filter in the furnace and its color never changed. But these filters seem to catch everything in the air. I feel safe knowing that I have one of the best filters on the market.

These are wonderful filters! We used the first one earlier this year and noticed a huge difference from the cheap ones we had been getting from Ace. I no longer felt like our house smelled like cat litter dust and our unfinished basement even had less of a litter box odor. I will definitely be using these from now on!

Purchased the repackaged item which was 8 to 10 dollars cheaper and nothing was wrong with it. It was brand new just in a previously open box but the individual filter still has the plastic on them. This was a good deal for me. Turns out to be 13 dollars each filter. Cheaper than buying it from Home Depot.
